🚨 Mississippi’s Largest Synagogue Set On Fire In Act Of Anti-Jewish Arson Amid Growing Jew Hatred In America🚨 Jackson, Mississippi’s only synagogue, Beth Israel Congregation (Mississippi's largest synagogue), was set ablaze early Saturday morning during Shabbat. The Jackson Fire Department ruled it arson, and working with the @FBI and @ATFHQ, authorities have quickly arrested a suspect. Tragically, two sacred Torah scrolls were completely destroyed, and five others were damaged amid the heavy damage to the library and other areas. This is the same historic synagogue bombed by the Ku Klux Klan in 1967 in retaliation for the rabbi's courageous support of the Civil Rights Movement. Why hasn't the Department of Justice (DOJ) or the FBI issued a public statement on this apparent hate crime against a Jewish house of worship, especially given their involvement in the investigation and the history of antisemitic violence at this exact same synagogue? Silence is not acceptable amid the growing wave of Jew hatred in America. The Jewish community in Mississippi is standing strong, but this demands national attention and swift justice.
