There is only one element to debate here, If we are talking at the time of ATLA. Bumi is shown to be a force of nature, and he has a 100 year head start on Toph. Ozai is shown to obviously be the most powerful firebender There’s only one air bender in ATLA, Aang. I also believe he was the most powerful up until his death. Water is the only toss up, it’s possible Katara, especially as she is older than Toph, could be on a similar level to the scant few other waterbenders we’re shown. All these characters in time could grow powerful enough to be number one, but no 12 or 14 years old is owning masters with decades in their craft.

@Gunship_Groyper @TwistedKane21 She can sense any earth, even if it’s not in contact with the ground. You can see this is some of her fights against other earthbenders, and it’s also outright stated in the ‘avatar extras’ material.

@CreativeNotEvil @TwistedKane21 She can't see anything. She is not using echolocation, so she can only estimate the location of projectiles based on the vibrations of the bender. She cannot just locate all Earth in her mind. Mid-air, trajectory-changing attacks rape her to death.

@HenriquesTurn @MrOvis_ Not quite. They didn’t start producing day-to-day metals with more impurities so that it was easier to bend, but they did state that the metals they use for *teaching* metalbending have more impurities in them, so it’s easier to learn with.

@MrOvis_ isn't it stated in korra that they started producing metal with more "earth"/"impurities" so it would be easier to bend? you know, how """"technology""" evolved after the war, which is... the whole point of tlok

This scene is a good example of my issue with metalbending in Korra. In the original series, Toph had to be in physical contact with the metal, because it was much harder to bend than actual earth, because she was bending the impurities within it. Meanwhile, the metal bending in Korra is basically the opposite, they actually bend with far more precision than anyone bends earth with, which doesn't make any sense. It's kinda in the same vein as the lavabending, where instead of applying any actual logic to it, they treated the bending as pure sorcery. Korra doesn't learn it from anyone, she just has it, because she has more Bending Midiclorians than everyone else, I guess.

@Gunship_Groyper @TwistedKane21 Toph can canonically see lumps of earth in flight, we see this from literally her introduction. There’s zero reason she wouldn’t be able to do the same with metal after she learns metal bending.

@TwistedKane21 Kuvira beats Toph, no diff. Toph cannot see her blades, or sense their movement.

@tracheesecake Oh, important thing to remember too. Some studies will say something like “Trans HRT changes are largely completed by 3/5 years” or similar, but that’s usually because 3/5 years was the duration of the study, so they literally weren’t still checking for changes after that.

Can you be an HRT “late bloomer” like can hrt just do very little at the start and kick off at like a year or something I feel it’s doing nothing for me seeing the changes every other trans girl brags about and how my measurements refuse to change ever

@tracheesecake Assuming your E levels are appropriate range, yes, puberty is a marathon not a sprint. Some people get dramatic results from a month or two, some get nothing until a year or more in. Just depends on your biology. But definitely need to make sure that your blood results are good.

@MeiMei73403741 @The11saske I love Toph, she’s one of my fav characters, but unless she fought Gazan on a ship or somewhere they weren’t on Eartherm ground, or she somehow took him out at with her opening move, she’d be screwed. “The Floor is Lava” doesn’t leave her with much to work with.

And they kept sidelining Asami >< Also the ‘Bolin is a sex slave’ and ‘Mako is a babysitter’ arcs *really* went on too long :(

@DennisSantiago_ Problema de Korra é o Time dela. Os personagens são muito rasos e possuem zero profundidade. A redenção do Zuko e arco de dobra de sangue da Katara dão uma surra em todo o time da Korra. A única que salva é a Avatar.

Essa pra mim é de cara uma das melhores lutas do universo Avatar. A Lenda de Korra deveria ser mais apreciada pois possui duelos incríveis e um enredo de transformação de personagem (Korra) que honestamente eu acho muito bem desenvolvido.

@Barodou @DennisSantiago_ I’ve wondered that before. I’d have to assume one of the first things you learn as a metal bender is how to be constantly, low-key bending your armour, at ALL times, specifically so that you can resist an attempt to crush it.

@RGangstalicious “That any WaterBender can detect” Buddy, I can detect a crushed leg *really* easily with just my eyeballs, but that doesn’t mean I can fix it.

All Amon ever did was figure out how to "fake" block these chi paths any waterbending healer can detect. Skill is impressive yes but he definitely can't bloodbend 3+ people without getting distracted & losing his grip. Yakone's feat is stronger as much as Amon is more skilled

@GameCat16 @The11saske 100% Nothing that they could have shown would ever be as violent or impactful as knowing what was going to happen, and then cutting to Zaheer realising what’s just happened to the love of his life. This is one of the most deliberate, straight up executions in ATLA.

@J_Hanes18 @godofavatar What are you talking about ‘don’t see her use agility’? Just look at how the two of them move. She can also fire much more rapidly than CM can. Even *IF* his shots are stronger (no confirmation they actually are), it doesn’t help if you can’t hit your target.

@CreativeNotEvil @godofavatar She doesn’t have better accuracy tho she was missing a lot of shots while CM missed hitting Aang only. Also we don’t see her use agility so how can u say hers is better? And her control and curving her shots is the same thing. But he can do and take more damage

@MrGio765824 @godofavatar Yeah, water which Ming can immediately contest against. The matchup rules negate both of Hama’s big skills, while the matchup also negates Ming’s big weaknesses (lack of arms without water, and electrical conductivity).

@racerkuvira For the most part, LoK’s villains just eat ATLA’s villains for breakfast. Like, look at Season 1 villains: Two decent but mentally off-kilter Firebenders vs two BloodBenders who don’t need a full moon, one of which doesn’t even need to *move*, and can permanently seal Bending??

@godofavatar Azula can jet-boot which will help somewhat, and she won’t be scared into making a mistake and getting flustered, which will help a lot. But Ghazan also knows about Lightning and fighting it, but Azula has no clue how to fight Lava-Bending. Think I have to give the edge to Ghazan

@godofavatar Azula/Ghazan… damn, this one’s actually pretty tough. Assuming Azula before her breakdown, she’s got precision and ridiculous talent on her side. But Ghazan has power, age & experience. Plus I’m not sure how Azula would go against a mountain being melted out from under her.
