@haloinrevrse @Joannacaroll007 @liquid2ulu They need temporary half-way [group] homes for them to give them the time and guidance to learn or re-learn the skills and habits needed to function in a home, rather than just dump them in an apartment and leave them to it.

@Joannacaroll007 @liquid2ulu Exactly. She is severely mentally ill. She needs 24 hour supervision, and most likely a group home. She cannot live alone, care for herself, nor keep her home clean.

This is what happens when you give homeless people homes---the wreck them, and end up going back to the streets. In this clip, the primary complaint is that the free apartment she is getting doesn't come with house keeping.
necrofuhrer@NecroFuhrer97

@liquid2ulu It's been proven time and time again that using money to solve a problem instead of prolonging it makes it go away. It's infinitely more expensive to treat homeless people like shit than it is to put them in even small, free apartments

@TC36489185 @liquid2ulu That's not the only solution. Her flat was far too big for a start. She wouldn't be able to manage it straight off the street. A case worker who can guide them into new habits is one of the things they need. The equivalent of a personal trainer to help them learn new habits.

They are not mentally competent. Whatever the source of their incompetence (insanity, drugs, jist being severely low IQ, doesn't matter) They are not CAPABLE of self determination The only humane choice is involuntary warehousing in facilities with staff to manage them. They are by no definition safe to interact with standard society. Denial of this basic fact has multiplied human suffering.

@liquid2ulu @buluodilao They need rehabilitation. The habits they have to develop to survive on the streets, don't work for living in a real home. It takes time and guidance to change those habits, because they're unlikely to even be aware of most of them.

How much do they need? We give them houses, they need housekeeping, then they need rehabilitation, then they need jobs, then they need leisure, then they need a car, then they need the latest iPhone---don't you see that it never ends? The extent of their needs is infinite. That need is not a claim on the lives of productive men.

@liquid2ulu Does she look as if she can cope with life generally? She said, no housekeeping OR CASE WORKER. A large number of people who end up homeless are kids from care. They never learned to manage a home and don't cope when they suddenly have to.

@Wangxianinspace @OldNurseSilva @lporiginalg There was a conflict of instructions. 1) Look at my nose. 2) How many fingers am I holding up? What are the kids eyes going to do at that point, except look at his fingers? Where's the surprise?

@DBDesign12 @OldNurseSilva @lporiginalg 5 year olds are able to listen to instructions. Sit down. Raise your hands..they may need some practise but look straight ahead isn't that complicated for them to follow. They tend to need more tiny steps but they can and do listen to instructions. Maybe he can say it simpler tho

@Wangxianinspace @OldNurseSilva @lporiginalg They're also easily distracted, in the first year of having to sit still for long periods, are playful, become unco-operative or flustered in the face of snippy adults, misconstrue new instructions easily. Etc. etc. etc. He's 5 and in a new environment with new jargon.

@Furiosa24 Do you know, at least 95% of the negative "white people" chatter I come across, is from white people? White people like you. You & people like you are creating the very thing you're whining about.

Approximately 400 million people speak English globally. William Shakespeare introduced approximately 1,700 words to the language. William is arguably THE greatest poet/writer/playwright of all time. William was a white man. Idiots now want to make him less white because white excellence is seen as supremacy. And that’s where we are. Who’s next?

Britain has been a Christian nation for over 1,400 years. Through wars, plagues, and countless kings, Easter has always been celebrated. Yet now, Cadbury won’t even use the word ‘Easter’ on their eggs. When did celebrating British traditions become controversial?

@SavageAuraDrip @lporiginalg The compound instructions were rattled off. I guess if he's not accustomed to handling children he won't get it. For toddlers a new instruction often has to be repeated several times, as they contemplate it's varying possibilities.

@DBDesign12 @lporiginalg Obvious to an addult who's good at reading between lines. Also clearly took far more than few seconds here. The good MD kept repeating and waiting. I guess we can't see eye ti eye on this one 😉

@dailyalqassam2 @DouglasJac59608 @Hoyfxc @Streetfight983 I guess we know different parents. I've rarely seen a parent smack a child of this age. I could count on one hand how many times I've witnessed it. Don't misunderstand, I think this guy was totally wrong in what he did, but the responses were disproportionate to the act.

@DBDesign12 @DouglasJac59608 @Hoyfxc @Streetfight983 hitting a baby with your hand does more pain than a cushion, and I'm pretty sure most parents have done that at least once to their kids. And in some cultures, it is very common to hit children with a stick, or shoe...

@CZseventyfive @TheOdin_II I don't see that he's holding a grudge, he seemed to have just made a decision not to open himself up to a repeat of that toxic behaviour. That isn't the same as holding a grudge.

@TheOdin_II I can see his stance. For me, I’m someone who holds grudges & petty. I wouldn’t think twice about doing what he did without regret. No amount of religion will ever make me forgive a wrong done to me.

I had to let go of a lot of family including my mother for peace and happiness. I’m told that I’m “unforgiving, sensitive & insecure” for putting up my boundaries. I forgave those people a long time ago, and life showed me outside of my blood what true love and family is. I’m okay with them coming to their conclusions. They can’t take away what god has blessed me with.

@dubwhit1977 @TheOdin_II He did the opposite of holding on to the past, he refused to go back to it. It makes no sense to take a viper into your space. She's clearly toxic and would have poisoned the life HE build, despite being let down so badly by her,

@TheOdin_II 100% valid. She would have broken his heart a second time and every time after that, that she needed someone to lay up on and he would have blamed himself for letting it happen. He's a brave and wise man to be able to establish that correct boundary the first time.

A nation is the product of the people within it, and those people are a product of their genetics. Crazy how much propaganda has to be poured into people's brains 24/7/365 to prevent them from understanding these 2 simple facts.
