Any time someone says he’s too small for the league, it’s just them admitting they didn’t watch any tape at all.

4.31 unofficial 40 for D’Angelo Ponds🔥🔥

@murphjusttlkn As someone in their mid 40’s I’m not really concerned about lifting 225. Honestly always struggled with bench.
Could maybe do it once. But, I can do 15 pull ups, 70 pushups, and run 9:44/mile for 26.2 miles. I’m good with that.
English

Been seeing a lot of 225 talk with grown men on the timeline lately. Shit lowkey funny because that was a high school goal man. We been accomplished that at 15-16 😂

Benching 225 puts you in the strong nigga club. Like the homie Mo said “benching 225 ain’t important til you fight a nigga that can bench 225.” 🤣
English

Oh I didn’t realize he was a 6 mil dead cap hit. Now it makes sense why they didn’t draft a safety early and why we stayed on the field.
What would they have done if Geno would have said no to the pay cut? New plan ?😂
Bottom line though, too much worry about money and if a player should be playing or not.
It now makes sense with Logan Wilson. They were ok with the benching because then they weren’t on the hook for the contract.

@DDMeritt @Crsmit614 Geno at 4.5m vs. paying 6m for Geno not to play for you in addition to paying a bridge safety another 6-8m/year. They made a business decision.

Man listening to this, I’ll be cancelling my PFF subscription, which really stinks. It’s not just the grades it’s the statistics, alignments numbers, etc.
I’ve used PFF a lot and this story has me questioning tons of data over the last several years. Any draft content creator who relies heavily on the PFF data, needs to listen to this and start thinking of new ways to evaluate prospects/build a board.
Here’s the thing, it’s not just “go watch the tape”, well greedy entities have done their best to lock all that away .
The story of PFF will or at least should be studied as another example of greed and mismanagement by the people at the top.
The talent was fantastic, and the content top notch, but it was wasn’t valued enough by the people with the money and the power. Shame on PFF, shame on Chris Collinsworth, and shame on all those who had a hand in this collapse in the name of the almighty dollar.
WHICH YOU COULD HAVE MADE A TON OF IF YOU JUST LISTENED TO THE TALENT!

@whodeyupdates Yeah Scott is very physical, he also misses a lot of tackles. Miami had a specific role for him. I don’t think you can play him in traditional slot cover role, probably fits as a box safety best. But he did test well and has played some outside CB, so IDK.
English

@DDMeritt I agree, but purely stylistically, I think it’s hard to match the physicality that Hilton brings, but I do think Scott brings that level better than most corners do.
English

Last year at this time Geno Smith was the plan at safety.
Now I like those three players upside, and if it hits you have three young core dudes. Getting a guy like Zane Durant to learn behind Allen would be ideal. I also still like Foskey, Ced, and APR. But, give me a guy with a pass rusher profile in this mix if one is there in the draft.
English

@DDMeritt I’d agree, there’s definitely coverage question marks, but I think fans almost look at Ponds like the Hilton replacement, when I don’t think the skillset is nearly the same. I think Scott fits that exact mold much more than Ponds does.
English

@realbroshmo @hailmarysportss Cool, when are best times for you? Would as early as tomorrow work?
English

@realbroshmo @hailmarysportss Completed a great draft for the Bengals.

@Ryan_D2TF Yeah I get that, who's your favorite swing tackle option?
English

@DDMeritt I like him, just not at 72. At 110 I understand it. He's 126 on my board.
English

@realbroshmo @hailmarysportss I would just send you a link, you join, and request to speak. It’s a great place to spread your content and just casually talk. It’s just audio no video. Let me know if you’re interested and we can get a time. I’ll have some bigger accounts promote it.
English

@DDMeritt @hailmarysportss I'd have to learn how to use it first LOL

Tennessee WR Chris Brazzell ran routes for the #Bengals today, per @tenn_athletics / Instagram.
English

Even before this, he projected as a #1 CB. What he did at 19, was legit. Lock down.

@TheFireMaan @maxmurp_ @JUSTERIC__ I’ve always liked him, had he not gotten hurt last year I wonder if he would have played a bigger role.
English

@maxmurp_ @JUSTERIC__ I really like Heyward. Great NFL bloodline. Wouldn’t be surprised if develops into a key contributor
English

@CoachMinich I think several LBs will go ahead of him. I personally would take Kyle Lewis over Hill.
English

I’m seeing a lot of anti- Anthony Hill takes
You all should get familiar with him because he is on a very short list of guys in the draft who could slide right into the Demetrius Knight LB/Edge role
stpalme@stpalme1
@CoachMinich I wish Hill was better at actually playing the position.
