The next chapter of America’s journey to explore the solar system begins TONIGHT.
Artemis II and the SLS rocket roll out of the Vehicle Assembly Building to Launch Complex 39B as we target a launch attempt as early as April 1. This mission will potentially send astronauts farther into space than any human has traveled before - around the Moon and safely back home.
And, under @POTUS’ National Space Policy Directive, we’re just getting started.

Remember when you told our troops to ignore their commander-in-chief? That actually puts their lives in danger… imagine troops on the battlefield desperately waiting for an air strike when your dumb ass face pops in their head, having them second-guess their order.
Hegseth did the opposite. He said eliminate the threat. Kill them. That’s the reality of the situation. You kill or be killed.

“No quarter” isn’t some wanna be tough guy line - it means something. An order to give no quarter would mean to take no prisoners and kill them instead. That would violate the law of armed conflict. It would be an illegal order. It would also put American service members at greater risk. Pete Hegseth should know better than to throw around terms like this.

XB-1 and SLS are obviously not the same thing. My point indeed is that SLS (and the whole gov't-led model behind it) is a terrible allocation of capital. Much more actual progress can be achieved with less money when capital is left in private hands. Maybe this wasn't obvious when SLS was conceived, but it certainly is now.
It makes me sad to see money spent poorly—because it could do so much more if spent wisely. In practice, this money waste means the misdirection of humans, the valuable efforts of good people, wasted ineffectively.
I'm excited about America going back to the Moon—and this time I'd love for us to do it in a way that sticks, meaning (as you have said) we have to crack the nut on sustainable economics. The commies can have their hollow commie victories. Let's do this the American, capitalist way. History shows that centrally-planned glory projects can yield amazing and inspiring demos, but they don't lead to durable human progress.
