🚨BREAKING: This open source tool generates entire Minecraft worlds from real-world map data. It's called Arnis. You pick any location on Earth. Arnis builds it block by block in Minecraft. No mods. No world editors. No manual building. Just real geography. Here's how it works: → You select any area on the map using a rectangle tool → It pulls geospatial data from OpenStreetMap → Processes real-world elevation and terrain data → Maps every building, road, river, and landscape to Minecraft blocks → Generates a fully playable Java or Bedrock Edition world Here's the wildest part: It doesn't just flatten everything into a 2D grid. It reconstructs actual topography. Hills, valleys, coastlines. Real elevation data turned into Minecraft terrain. You can generate your hometown. Tokyo. Manhattan. The Swiss Alps. Anything OpenStreetMap has data for. Tom's Hardware, Hackaday, and XDA Developers all covered it. It even got cited in an academic paper on using Minecraft for flood preparedness education. Written in Rust. Ships with a full GUI. Works on Windows, macOS, and Linux. 32 contributors. 746 forks. 8,100+ GitHub stars. 100% Open Source.

this story is absolutely insane 🤯 > tech guy with zero biology background. > his dog got terminal cancer. > vets said 1 - 6 months left. > bro said nah not on my watch. > asked ChatGPT for a treatment plan. > sequenced tumor DNA for $3k. > used AlphaFold AI to model mutated proteins. > designed world’s first personalized mRNA vaccine for a dog. > partnered with universities to synthesize it. > ethics approval took 3 months. > vaccine design took 2 months. > first injection December 2025. > tumors shrank 75% within weeks. > dog happy. > universities confirmed it worked. > now designing version 2 for remaining tumor. AI + a guy determined to save his dog just outperformed the pharma industry 💀 the cure for cancer will be open source.
vittorio@IterIntellectus

this is actually insane > be tech guy in australia > adopt cancer riddled rescue dog, months to live > not_going_to_give_you_up.mp4 > pay $3,000 to sequence her tumor DNA > feed it to ChatGPT and AlphaFold > zero background in biology > identify mutated proteins, match them to drug targets > design a custom mRNA cancer vaccine from scratch > genomics professor is “gobsmacked” that some puppy lover did this on his own > need ethics approval to administer it > red tape takes longer than designing the vaccine > 3 months, finally approved > drive 10 hours to get rosie her first injection > tumor halves > coat gets glossy again > dog is alive and happy > professor: “if we can do this for a dog, why aren’t we rolling this out to humans?” one man with a chatbot, and $3,000 just outperformed the entire pharmaceutical discovery pipeline. we are going to cure so many diseases. I dont think people realize how good things are going to get

imagine you’re Travis Kalanick you built Uber from nothing into a $70 billion company and changed how every city on earth moves then in the worst three weeks of your life, family tragedies hit, and five of your investors hand you a letter demanding you resign so you step down the board replaces you, your successor and board sell off the self driving division you created, the thing you believed was Uber’s entire future gone $4 billion to Aurora the mainstream media tries to write your obituary: toxic culture, bad leadership, and a cautionary tale silicon valley moves on as they always do but you don’t you don’t really forget you go quiet, completely quiet you take $150 million and buy a ghost kitchen company called CloudKitchens you raise over a billion dollars, hit a $15 billion valuation, build a company with thousands of employees and nobody even knows the name eight years in stealth, employees aren’t even allowed to put your company on their LinkedIn then today you rename the company Atoms, and it’s not a kitchen company anymore it’s a robotics company 1. food 2. mining 3. transport your first move? acquiring Pronto the autonomous vehicle startup built by Anthony Levandowski, the same engineer you originally swooped away from Google to build Uber’s self driving program oh and he went on to deploy 100+ autonomous trucks for one of the largest materials companies on earth now he’s coming back to work with you and the reports say Uber itself the same company that pushed you out, is now backing you to go after self driving harder than Waymo the guy they removed is the guy they end up needing poetic justice your framework aka everything in civilization is mined or grown, manufactured and moved you call it the golden age your manifesto ends with three words: “I never left” eight years of silence then this but here’s what people keep getting wrong about your situation everyone wants to call it a comeback or a revenge story it’s neither you just went quiet and built for eight years while everyone who wrote you off had stopped paying attention that’s not revenge, that’s just what true builder obsession looks like most founders would’ve stayed bitter most would’ve written a book and done a podcast tour, most would’ve taken the $2.5 billion in shares and disappeared off to a beach or Epstein’s island you didn’t do any of that you just kept building and now the same people who pushed you out need you again so whether you love him or hate him the most dangerous person in any room is the one who goes quiet yet never stops building karma is real welcome back Travis

anthropic fucking killed it with this. so many people will start using claude. new feature lets you import your *entire* memory from chatGPT, Gemini etc into Claude so it *instantly* knows everything about you. no more reminding claude who you are. the best fucking part is it takes literally 60s: - copy and paste the below prompt into your alternative AI (eg chatgpt) - paste answer into claude’s “memory” settings and… you’re done. - Claude immediately picks up from the last conversation you had with it in chatgpt! the opportunity cost to switch to anthropic just went to zero - their app is currently #1 in the app store

Anthropic just announced it will take the Trump administration to court over the supply chain risk designation. And in the same breath, Axios revealed the detail that changes everything about this story. While Anthropic was being blacklisted for refusing to allow mass surveillance, the Pentagon’s own “compromise deal” that Under Secretary Emil Michael was offering on the phone at the exact moment Hegseth posted the designation on X would have required Anthropic to allow the collection and analysis of Americans’ geolocation data, web browsing history, and personal financial information purchased from data brokers. Read that again. The Pentagon spent two weeks saying it has no interest in mass surveillance of Americans. Then the deal they actually put on the table asked for access to your location, your browsing history, and your financial records. They told us Anthropic was lying. The contract language told us Anthropic was right. Now here is where this becomes an existential question for a $380 billion company. The supply chain risk designation means every company that does business with the Pentagon must certify they do not use Claude. Eight of the ten largest companies in America use Claude. Defense contractors, cloud providers, consulting firms, banks. The blast radius is not the $200 million Pentagon contract. It is the enterprise ecosystem that generates $14 billion in annual revenue. Anthropic’s legal argument is specific: under 10 USC 3252, the designation can only restrict use of Claude on Pentagon contract work. Your commercial API access, your claude.ai subscription, your enterprise license are, in Anthropic’s reading, completely unaffected. But here is the problem. That is a legal argument. It will take years to resolve in court. And in the meantime, every general counsel at every Fortune 500 company with any Pentagon exposure is going to ask one question: is using Claude worth the risk? The IPO, which was expected this year at a $380 billion valuation backed by $30 billion in fresh capital, is functionally frozen. No underwriter will price an offering while a company carries the same designation as Huawei. And here is the final detail nobody has processed yet. Hours after blacklisting Anthropic, the Pentagon accepted OpenAI’s proposed safety framework, which contains the identical red lines: no mass surveillance, no autonomous lethal weapons. They destroyed one company for a position they then accepted from its competitor. Full analysis on Substack. open.substack.com/pub/shanakaans…

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth@SecWar

This week, Anthropic delivered a master class in arrogance and betrayal as well as a textbook case of how not to do business with the United States Government or the Pentagon. Our position has never wavered and will never waver: the Department of War must have full, unrestricted access to Anthropic’s models for every LAWFUL purpose in defense of the Republic. Instead, @AnthropicAI and its CEO @DarioAmodei, have chosen duplicity. Cloaked in the sanctimonious rhetoric of “effective altruism,” they have attempted to strong-arm the United States military into submission - a cowardly act of corporate virtue-signaling that places Silicon Valley ideology above American lives. The Terms of Service of Anthropic’s defective altruism will never outweigh the safety, the readiness, or the lives of American troops on the battlefield. Their true objective is unmistakable: to seize veto power over the operational decisions of the United States military. That is unacceptable. As President Trump stated on Truth Social, the Commander-in-Chief and the American people alone will determine the destiny of our armed forces, not unelected tech executives. Anthropic’s stance is fundamentally incompatible with American principles. Their relationship with the United States Armed Forces and the Federal Government has therefore been permanently altered. In conjunction with the President's directive for the Federal Government to cease all use of Anthropic's technology, I am directing the Department of War to designate Anthropic a Supply-Chain Risk to National Security. Effective immediately, no contractor, supplier, or partner that does business with the United States military may conduct any commercial activity with Anthropic. Anthropic will continue to provide the Department of War its services for a period of no more than six months to allow for a seamless transition to a better and more patriotic service. America’s warfighters will never be held hostage by the ideological whims of Big Tech. This decision is final.

Adding multiplayer to this game has been far more complicated than making the entire engine for single player. This is a project that spans 3+ years and dozens of developers and now it's finally time to let it out in the wild!

Dario Amodei just gave his first interview since the Pentagon blacklisted his company. The toll is visible on his face. He was asked one question. What would you say to the President right now? He didn’t hesitate. Amodei: “We are patriotic Americans. Everything we have done has been for the sake of this country.” Anthropic built their models to defend America. They were the first AI lab cleared for classified military systems. They wanted to help the warfighter. But the Pentagon demanded unrestricted access to fully autonomous weapons and mass surveillance of American citizens. Amodei drew the line. The government responded with emergency Cold War powers. A supply chain designation normally reserved for foreign adversaries. A six-month federal phaseout ordered from Truth Social. Amodei: “When we were threatened with supply chain designation and Defense Production Act, which are unprecedented intrusions into the private economy, we exercised our classic First Amendment rights to speak up and disagree with the government.” The administration framed Anthropic’s refusal as anti-American. Amodei’s response dismantled that framing in one sentence. Amodei: “Disagreeing with the government is the most American thing in the world.” Here is the deeper paradox nobody in Washington wants to say out loud. We are in a geopolitical race against autocratic adversaries who use AI for mass surveillance of their own citizens and autonomous weapons with no human oversight. The Pentagon demanded that Anthropic build those exact capabilities for America. Amodei: “The red lines we have drawn, we drew because we believe that crossing those red lines is contrary to American values.” You cannot defeat authoritarianism by adopting its methods. You cannot defend the open society by forcing private companies to build its antithesis under threat of wartime emergency powers. Anthropic held the line. Got blacklisted for it. And came out the other side saying the same thing they said going in. That is what it actually looks like to mean it.
