Bulls coach Billy Donovan on Jaden Ivey and his release.

LeBron James, appearing on Steve Nash's "Mind the Game" podcast, joked about guest diversity by suggesting Spurs big man Luke Kornet should come on to discuss the recent Atlanta Hawks’ Magic City strip club controversy. The league's decision to axe the Magic City strip club sponsored event in the name of "family values" has sparked an unexpected debate online after fans across social media have demanded that if the league is going to strictly police its family-friendly image, it should also suspend official Pride Night events hosted by teams across the NBA. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s last two games: 16/42 FG 🧊 1/13 3PT 🧊 22/28 FT 🔥 One of the worst two-game shooting stretches we have EVER seen down the stretch for an MVP hopeful He’s lucky he keeps getting phantom calls or it would look even worse 👀

Add this list to Victor Wembanyama’s MVP vote considerations. Then consider what the numbers might look like if he hadn’t missed so many games due to injury.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander made more free throws than field goals tonight LMFAOOO 8-24 FG 0-10 3P 💩 9-12 FT SG ASS

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams recently filed four trademark applications to legally claim the "Iceman" nickname for his own clothing and merchandise line, but Spurs legend George "The Iceman" Gervin is officially fighting back. Just days after Williams submitted his paperwork, the 73-year-old Spurs legend filed his own competing trademark applications for both "Iceman" and "Iceman 44." In his legal filings, Gervin's team made sure to point out that he has been using the moniker commercially since 1979- a full 22 years before Caleb Williams was even born. Gervin has also gone to the press to defend his legacy, flat-out stating: "There's only one Iceman, and I am he."

This is a direct result of the ongoing collapse of the regional sports network model. The company that runs the FanDuel Sports Network (the channel that broadcasts local Spurs games) is strapped for cash. They aren't paying the NBA as much money for the rights to show the games and the league's overall "salary cap" is going to drop by about $1 million for the 2026-27 season.

The NBA has informed teams that the league is projecting a $165 million salary cap for 2026-27 -- $1M lower than previous outlooks due to a reduction in local media revenue, sources tell ESPN. Minimum salary $149M, tax level $201M, first apron $209M, second apron $222M also $1M lower each.

POV: You just lost the 1996 Finals.

In the NBA, the 4th quarter is where possessions slow down, defenses lock in, and every mistake gets magnified. The playoffs? That’s basically four straight quarters of that pressure. And what stands out with these new stats is that De’Aaron Fox and Victor Wembanyama are showing up in those exact moments. Fox doing what he’s always done as a closer, but Wemby rising into it. That’s not just a good sign, it’s proof the Spurs are building something that may actually translate into a possible deep playoff run.

Best 4th Quarter FG% In The 2025-26 NBA Regular Season (Min. 200 Total FGA) : 1. De’Aaron Fox — 51.9% 2. Alperen Sengun — 51.5% 2. Scottie Barnes — 51.5% 4. Jamal Murray — 51.4% 5. Victor Wembanyama — 51.3% 6. Payton Pritchard — 51.0% 6. Kevin Durant — 51.0% 8. Jaime Jaquez Jr. — 50.9% 9. Jalen Johnson — 50.0% 10. Saddiq Bey — 49.5% 10. Collin Gillespie — 49.5%

So what happened after Wemby hit the game winning shot? Devin Booker told Suns reporter @DuaneRankin that the refs missed his trip on De’Aaron Fox’s foot. What do you think?

Most underrated Spur this season IMO: Julian Champagnie 🎯 After getting picked up on waivers late in the 22/23 season, Champagnie impressed the front office enough in his 15 game spell to earn a 4yr/12mil extension last summer. This season, the former undrafted wing was tasked with a whole lot more. He played in 74 games and started 59 in which he filled his role in the starting unit perfectly. He spaced the floor for Wemby and Dev, knocked down the three point shot with decent consistency, was an unselfish cutter and never needed the ball in his hands to be effective. On defense, he wasn’t a liability and often was tasked to defend the opposition’s second best wing. He also used his quiet athleticism to rack up stocks. With new additions most likely arriving this off-season, the sharpshooter may see his role reduced next season. But with someone with his skillset and experience in the system who is still developing, he should definitely have a roster spot on lock 🔐

Plus there will be NBA Europe rosters to fill if THAT league launches as planned in 2027-28. There will be 576 roster spots (including two-way contracts) in a 32-team NBA … without even accounting for the talent distribution needed to make NBA Europe credible.

14 year old Mohamed Dabone looks like Wemby and Giannis combined 🤯
