Things are changing…I am rebuilding most of our clients websites from Wordpress to full node applications that are efficient and lack bloatware. I purchased both Claude and ChatGPT, I must say it is amazing, a project that would have taken me 3-4 months to solo just takes a full day of prompting, testing, fixing and deploying

A software dev friend who works at a ZA bank says he hasn't handwritten a line of code in the last 2 months. They're officially using Claude Code via AWS Bedrock. They even have a leaderboard to track who can use the most tokens. This is a bank 😳

Never been in a better financial state than now. Zero debt, 1-year emergency savings, monthly spending less than 50% of income. Maxing out 401k and still have enough to invest in other things while enjoying life the way I want. God is good

@levelsio Not threat, but greatest source of a power up. The idea you had with the absorption is on point. He tried to compete but realized that if you can't beat them kill them.

Everything Zuck does is to extinguish OpenAI I think First it was open sourcing Llama, this way he thought if their model was just as good but free-to-use people wouldn't have to pay OpenAI because it was closed, but it didn't work Then it was essentially buying Scale AI for $14B. Scale AI does a lot of the data labeling and creates a lot of the LLM data sets that OpenAI trains on I think. Getting control of that and removing OpenAI as a partner makes it harder for them to train models Next is poaching of the OpenAI staff to hollow it out from the inside Zuck sees OpenAI as its biggest threat I think
signüll@signulll

zuck’s playbook for poaching ai talent is absolutely savage. openai is obviously not acquirable, at least not in any real world scenario. so what’s the next best move? you don’t buy the company. you bleed it out. you go straight for the people who are the company. openai is quite literally nothing without its people, remember? especially in ai. so zuck starts cutting checks big enough to short circuit anyone’s loyalty circuits. $100m, $300m+ packages. it’s just a different kind of acquisition. just one quiet defection at a time until the center can’t hold. everyone’s still stuck in traditional acquisition era thinking, while zuck’s out here doing black ops recruitment like it’s cold war berlin.

The South African National Blood Services (SANBS) generated over R4 billion in the last audited financial year (2024). They had a surplus of R274million, down from R394mln the year before. Their executive team earns between R2.1mln and R5.8mln a year. Everyone in the NPO's value chain gets paid... from nurses, to doctors, to testers, to transport, to storage, to accountants, to marketing agencies, etc... except the blood donors. They offer gifts that they pay suppliers for, but apparently aren't allowed legally to give donors money or benefits in-kind. They own vehicles, properties and other assets that generate income for them. All this from "selling" (they say it's not selling but recouping processing fees) blood at over R2000 per pint to govt hospitals (paid for by our tax money) & over R3000 per pint to private healthcare. In private healthcare you'll pay from R4000 to R9000 to R16,000 to R30,000 for blood when you need it. Donors unfortunately don't get free blood in hospital, the day they need it. I don't care who argues what, but this is wrong. Countries like the USA & the UK pay blood donors. Sperm & egg donors in SA get compensation for the efforts needed to "freely donate" their produce. Change the bogus act. Pay donors R50 to R100, after their blood has been approved. Flag & blacklist donors with dodgy blood. And don't pay them. And let the Dept of Health take ownership of collecting, testing, storing & processing blood... not a private Non-Profit, with a monopoly over blood they get freely from us. Without compensating us for transport, food or other needs for our good blood. End.

@Copilot Create dedicated copilots which are specific to certain applications or environments e.g. "Copilot for Windows" can open Windows and apps, do tasks, etc. "Copilot for Edge" is dedicated to Edge actions and requests. Eventually the Copilots should be able to interact when needed.

@satyanadella Introduce Copilot lite for $5. Pro is very expensive. Look at the bigger picture and see that AI is a chance for Google to pull people to their free services. Allow us to use Copilot online for a less rate or maybe have individual Copilot subscriptions e.g. Copilot for Excel.
