In today’s informal interaction with members of the media fraternity, we discussed that India’s energy imports are continuing to flow in from different sources and routes. We have taken steps to ensure that 100% supply of CNG & PNG to domestic consumers is ensured and other industries continue to get 70-80% of their supplies, despite the war situation. We are committed to ensure uninterrupted supply of affordable energy to our domestic consumers. There is no shortage for domestic consumers and no reason to panic.

EIL Women’s Cricket Team Wins the Challengers Cup at PHDCCI Corporate Tournament. The EIL Women’s Cricket Team, led by Ms. Sampada Bajaj Chawla, made a remarkable debut at the Super Sixes Corporate Cricket Tournament organised by PHDCCI, emerging as the proud winners of the Challengers Cup. The unique corporate tournament featured exciting 6-over matches, bringing together teams from leading organisations in a fast-paced and competitive format. EIL began their campaign with a strong victory against Accenture, winning by 24 runs. Building on this momentum, the team secured another impressive win against Grant Thornton, clinching the match by 3 wickets to ultimately lift the trophy. The tournament also saw exceptional individual performances, with Ms. Sampada Bajaj Chawla receiving the Player of the Tournament and Best Batter and Ms. Neha Agarwal, Best Wicket Keeper of the Tournament This victory marks a proud moment for EIL, showcasing the team spirit, determination and sporting excellence of its women employees. EIL celebrated International Women’s Day 2026 at the EIL Gurugram Complex, embracing the theme “Give to Gain.” The celebration honoured the achievements, contributions and spirit of the women workforce of EIL. The day began with the ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by inspiring words from Director (Finance), Shri Sanjay Jindal; Director (Technical), Shri Rajiv Agarwal; Director (Projects), Shri Subhas Balakumar; and Director (HR), Shri Rupesh Kumar Singh, who graced the celebration with their presence. The event featured exciting competitions such as a Non-Fire Cooking Competition for male employees and a Sit & Draw Competition open to all. The winners of the competitions were felicitated during the programme, which included champions of the Stepathon Challenge and Diwali Mela Rangoli Competition. A performance titled “EIL’s Got Talent” by young EIL employees filled the hall with laughter and cheer. The gathering was further inspired by an engaging talk from the Guest of Honour Ms. Veena Swarup, Former Director (HR), EIL, followed by a health session on mindful eating by a nutritionist from Medanta Hospital. EIL Women's Forum also introduced the concept of various interest-based clubs aimed at encouraging employees to pursue their passions beyond the workplace. These included clubs for gardening, biking, creative writing, dance and other creative and wellness-oriented activities. In my excellent interaction with members of the media fraternity today, we discussed how India is navigating the trilemma of energy availability, affordability and sustainability even in the face of the current geopolitical challenges. Energy imports into the country are in full flow from all Non-Hormuz routes. The energy requirements of our citizens are being fully met. India is in a comfortable position. There is no room for anxiety or speculation in this regard.
