Inspired by @DaneMooreNBA and @YossiGozlan’s pod, I think this is a pathway for Minnesota to get Kyrie while opening up some space to utilize their taxpayer exception for a free agent. The Brooklyn-Minnesota piece could be a separate trade, just included it to show two moves that work together. With the new lottery reform, I could see Randle having value to a team like Brooklyn. Meanwhile, the Wolves pick up a solid bridge starter at the 5 in Claxton who has previous chemistry with Kyrie.

I think Dane basically unlocked the Kyrie trade on the third apron podcast 1) salary dump Julius to Brooklyn hopefully just have to trade #28 to do it 1a) get a TPE to trade to Dallas 2) Gobert to the hornets for three picks (🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 good luck Dane hope you’re right) 2a) Charlotte does have a pick swap with Dallas next year 3) picks and the massive TPE to Mavericks 4) they proposed Kyrie, Gafford AND PJ Washington to the wolves which feels incredible if possible

This gets you younger and allows you to have every position essentially covered with a 26yo player under contract Wouldn’t say it’s the trade that’s gonna unlock a title for the wolves but for long term viability and resetting the core and assets might be good

Memphis traded Jaren Jackson Jr. for a package that included a 2027 first-round pick from the Jazz that could theoretically be the No. 1 pick. That was part of the trade. And the NBA just undid it less than four months later. Now it can't even be in the top five. Ridiculous.

Who says no? Mavs can reroute Rudy/Julius (multiple picks/young players). Donte a long term play, TSJ an upside piece Wolves balance their roster w/o trading the 2033 pick or the other swap Kyrie Ant Jaden Naz Gafford Ayo Marshall Joan Klay Bones? Clark? Slomo?
