@JesseWright1489 @CardPurchaser @PSAcard I agree. Trying to differentiate between a PSA 9 and a PSA 10 is nearly impossible without using a jeweler loupe. And even then the difference is dubious at best. But as long as people will pay 3x the amount for 10s this will continue.

@andrew__sampson @TriciaWhitaker Dancing girls, WWE, and a tacky comedian. Combined with a backup NFL QB and a host that thinks home plate is called “home base”. That’s exactly how you grow the game. Why didn’t MLB think of it sooner? The stampede of new fans is deafening.

@TriciaWhitaker There are things that Netflix could do better....but getting games on nationally is always a good thing for the game. The NFL has been doing this for years....baseball fans just tend to grumpy old curmudgeons that hate change. Baseball is growing and that is a good thing.

I get there were issues, and those are fine to critique, but it was not a disaster. And here's what die hard baseball fans are missing: the point of Netflix airing a MLB game in the first place is not necessarily to appeal to the diehard baseball fan, as much as diehards don't want to hear that, it's true. Baseball already has you. You watch your RSN broadcasts already and you watch whatever service your team's game airs on. Incorporating Netflix is to appeal to a bigger audience and grow the game and the viewership. Whether you agree or disagree with the way they did it...that is the point of this. Which is why they incorporate other entertainers from other sports, while of course, also pumping the Netflix product. You can dislike and disagree with it, but that doesn't mean it was a disaster when you consider the sole purpose/goal. It also doesn't mean incorporating other sports and entertainment is a bad idea.

@GeorgiaRLS @CardPurchaser I think the easy access to most cards is the issue. Why pay $5 more when there are a dozen other listings of the same card. Before eBay things were different. You couldn’t walk away from the table at a card show because you might not see that card again.

@CardPurchaser Genuine question for the card community: Why do we sometimes get so hung up on $1, $5, or even $20 when it comes to cards we really want for our personal collection? If it’s a PC item and it checks the boxes, does that small difference matter long term? In a hobby built on passion, nostalgia, and chasing what we love, it seems like the bigger value is in owning the card, not winning the negotiation. Thoughts??

@BJRains @ust8_ @BradenTClark Couldn’t we say it another way? Utah State and their coaching staff have done an amazing job and exceeded expectations. On the other hand Boise State and its coaching staff have failed to meet expectations. I’m not sure why that’s hard to write?

@BattleCattleFan @BJRains Dickey is asking for more from the fans. More money, more donations, more commitment. When is it permissible for the fans to ask for more from the coach? Boise is ready for a great team. Leon hasn’t been able to deliver. We were promised another Gonzaga. We got mid instead.

I know I’ve said it before, but Leon Rice is FAR FAR down the list of Boise State’s problems. He’s a fantastic coach. His team doesn’t have the Dog in them. That’s not his fault. It has to be player driven.
