Seems like a pretty solid price to put a pretty mint battery in your old car if it ever gave out. Also since they are Panasonic 18650s there are a couple shops that specialize in reconditioning.

[NEWS] Used electric vehicles (EVs) are finding their footing: After supply shortages and Tesla’s price cuts shook up the market, used EV prices are settling. EVs more than two years old now average just under $25,000, according to the Recurrent Price Index—roughly $3K lower than the overall avg. of $27,850. One reason? The current $25,000 federal rebate threshold has become a line in the sand. And vehicles priced just under that are in high demand at wholesale auctions. At the same time, leasing is taking off. Nearly half of new EV transactions in Q2 2024 were leases fueled by incentives and subsidized loan rates. Meaning – a fresh wave of used EVs will hit the market in 2 – 3 years as leases mature — Which could potentially push prices even lower.
