@AlisonMitchell The ECB's golden goose plan back firing Ali? Neglected a format that we were world champions in and every nation plays, in favour of a format nobody else does.

A real concern for Eng should be that these defeats are with players who grew up learning the craft of 50 over cricket. Since 2020, there has been no 50 over domestic cricket for Eng’s best young white ball cricketers. Nowhere for future players to learn the craft of the format.

@TheMiddleStump Great atmosphere at Northants last night. Despite being on the wrong end of it a good crack was had with supporters of both teams mixing together in a sell out crowd.

The travelling support from both Somerset and Glos over the last two nights has been immense. Serious numbers adding drama, making theatre and creating atmosphere. You don't need gimmicks, you need proper fans like this who have had a day out. They'll have another next week too.
