This is the best goal I've seen all year in MLS Next: Charlotte FC top prospect Daniel Brown ('11). As I've told you before, this player has a wand of a left foot. Scored another very nice goal 10 minutes after this. This was playing a year up too. A name to start learning.

Colorado Rapids just cut ties with their youth club. Hundreds of families paid $3,000+ a year, partly for that MLS academy pipeline. Now those kids become "Colorado Storm." Same coaches, same fields. But the MLS pathway that justified the price tag? Gone. Your U12's development plan shouldn't get rewritten in a boardroom. But in American youth soccer, it does. #YouthSoccer

U-15: LAFC in the final four is no surprise. I ranked them #2 of the MLS U-15’s coming in and they’ve delivered. Doing it without their best 2011’s too who’ve played up. Seattle and CFC are a surprise. Ranked them 19 and 20 respectively. U-16: Seattle is no surprise. Ranked them the second favorite. This is their best age group in years and would be fitting they’d follow in the footsteps of the 05’s who won GA (their last big age group). LAG was ranked 17 of 26. They are playing really short handed, but that academy just wins youth games, even if it doesn’t project well to the pros. They’ve proven it consistently the last five years.

Mike Coyle beat Logan, but it was the quarterfinal match with Donny that took the steam out of Logan that year) Jamie Wicks - as dominant of a wrestler as there was for his junior and senior years.
