Black Label for Dummies Black labels go for ridiculous Xs… those buyers i’m sorry are suckers… they pay crazy premiums for the “Gold Standard” of all grading which supposably only the 0.01% of cards can achieve. Maybe its the other way, maybe no one cares to grade with beckett and the lack of pop is just a result of this. Black labels are the super rare equivalent of a 1/1 NFTs. I feel buyers after markets finish the bull run will look as sharp as a Magikarp Splash splash splash

This is exactly why modern Pokémon is overvalued and vintage will always perform better. BGS 10 Black Label Mega Charizard sell for $40,000+ A PSA 10 is currently worth $2,800 but their population is almost 15,000. That means you can basically buy one RISK FREE, send it to Beckett, and hope to make an extra $37,000. Supply on these is gonna keep going up, and a lot of people are gonna be left holding the bag…. The only people that will win are the grading companies.

I’ve just sold some of my pokemon cards collection for over 6 figures profit I think Pokemon market is topped for now and I’ll buy back once market dips Will forever be thankful for Pokemon Btw I still hold a good amount of money in Pokemon and one piece cards.

My Pika Fail Totally missed the ball on this. When i started buying PSA 8/9 were very accessible but i was focusing on master setting the 16 Holos. As far as i know PSA 8/9 combined Average per No Rarity Holos is about 175. Average per No Rarity Pikachu is about 750. Pikachu is a great example of where higher population is not a bad thing because demand is huge and out weights any higher supply there is. It also means there are a lot more frequent transactions this avoiding my illiquid TCG dilemma. An absolute gem and something i will look to pick up one day.

As people become increasingly priced out on buying good grades of the 1996 Charizard No Rarity Symbol card, what do you think collectors will buy up next? The Pikachu No Rarity Symbol card, which I think will be worth $1 million (at current inflation rate) within 20 years at the latest and probably closer to ten years from now. I talked about this card on spaces for years when it was available to buy for around $4,000 and posted about it in August 2025 when you could still buy it for around $10,000 (see my post below).

Just my gut feeling like while there is a bull logically ppl want to gamble… Saying it from the perspective of Box value = Cards Value + Gambling Value I am pretty sure “Gambling Value” portion goes up in a bull. So in a bear/consolidation not only will the card “cards Value” drop or stall but ur “gambling value” may also drop Double hit. Ppl will only pay so much to gamble before it make sense just to buy the slabs

Took some time to put together but my fav Pokemon TCG Set is finally complete. Full 1996 No Rarity JP Abra-Kadabra-Alakazam combo. Pretty good grading too. Thanks to @phygitals and specially @aprekis for their help on a quick and safe delivery 🙂 (And @MikkelPositive for selling the Alakazam real cheap 🤣)
