My thoughts on this first day of June

I'm into my 5th year of highlighting CNN with video clips Now, I feel some personal joy in expressing my thoughts, my opinions and my independent analysis in posts that are unique to me. I realize I enjoy this, a lot. Coupled with the @InFrontOfUs_ podcast with @NAFOteacher (Ashley Duffany) its a change I needed. Our next guest to be announced shortly Though I'll scale back CNN a tad, I still have my list of Anchors, Commentators and Contributors over at CNN that will continue unabated along with Breaking News. Still, personal growth is good. I didn't see myself doing CNN's East Coast midnight programming other than its first week last year when The Story Is began, however, @CNNTheStoryIs with its anchor @Elex_Michaelson is that good. So good that it has disrupted my sleeping routine

Today #MemorialDay I would like to share these photographs I took a few years ago to remember Marty Medellin, US Marine, Purple Heart recipient, and the first fallen soldier of Tarrant County, Texas in the U.S. operation Iraqi Freedom. I did not visit in person once again due to storms plus writing about @Matt_VanDyke who has been detained in India since March 13. Matthew is on a one-month hunger strike with various rights denied at Tihar jail. It is because of my friend Medellin, that I decided to volunteer in 2017 with Matthew’s nonprofit organization @OfficialSOLI as its mission is focused on the defense of freedom, and that is what Medellin taught me in his brief life. We are ultimately remembered for the people and beliefs we stood for. Medellin’s name stands on the walls of Congress and a memorial stands in the city of Fort Worth. emsisd.com/community/mede…

As the In Front of Us @InFrontOfUs_ Podcast continues to evolve so does our guest list Many more CNN Political Commentators and contributors will be joining me and @NAFOteacher This is in addition to very notable names in Independent media and members of congress both sitting and retired . Included too will be military analysts, experts in medicine and science and more. President Trump is not going to be the direct focus; the focus will be bringing down the nation's temperature, its blood pressure so to speak; finding common ground and who our guests are behind the camera. Back story is key too. Trump will come up but only in context to issues that affect the nation. We will have BOTH Democrats and Republicans on. All guests will be afforded equal respect, no gotchas. In Front of Us will use a mature and disciplined approach, no raised voices or anger, ever We'll try fact checking in real time or post afterwards any necessary corrections The goal is for someone who has never followed us to ask themselves when watching "Is this left or right leaning?
