@5Solas2 Catholics don't bother with systematics. What use does reading the Bible coherently and in context when we can work backwards and nonsensically assert it affirms their Marry sue theology.

I'd argue both did it to stop Protestantism Cyril Lucaris, the Patriarch of Constantinople became Calvinistic there was pushback.

I read an utterly amazing "prayer" on the DL recently, the "Litany of Loreto." Often Christians think that such prayers, which barely acknowledge Father, Son, and Spirit, but are focused upon Mary instead, are "fringe" or "extreme." Fact is, they are normal in Romanism, and in EOism as well. How mainstream? Here is the prayer I read as it is found on...the Vatican's official website. @Intothekeep @5Solas2 Not every single thing they support without exception. But 1. the way they approach most issues, and 2. those things which they are most known for (which bleeds into how they approach most issues as well).
