As soon as it came to power, the Congress-led government cancelled the Raidurg–Airport Metro, which was ready for construction. The BJP-led Union government denied the BHEL–Lakdikapul Metro line to Hyderabad, citing low ridership, while approving metro projects for Lucknow, Indore, and other cities. Both are a burden on Telangana!
