@AndreLeger @RandPaul This has feen a piontless exercise in question-begging.
English

@KnightsofNeeee @RandPaul That’s the point. When you can’t replace the resource, you have to replace the technology.
You’re betting future knowledge shows up. That’s a gamble.
English

“The mistake is to think that natural resources are fixed gifts of nature and that economic life is therefore a grim contest over a pile that can only shrink as population grows.
That view sounds sober. It is, in fact, blind to the central truth of human progress.
Resources are not simply things lying in the ground. Resources are matter plus knowledge.”
Human Progress@HumanProgress
A barrel of oil in the Stone Age was worthless. A barrel of oil in an industrial civilization can heat homes, move trucks, and power factories. Nature gives us atoms, but it is humans who give those atoms value. humanprogress.org/the-most-impor…

@AndreLeger @RandPaul Is your quest for helium a professional obsession? You miss the point. What might replace the MRI?
English

@KnightsofNeeee @RandPaul Cars replaced horses.
Nothing replaces helium.
That’s the difference.
English

@AndreLeger @RandPaul In the early 1900s, there was a convention of sanitation professionals where the topic was where to put all the horse shit that was piling up in their cities. No one had a solution. Soon after, automobiles became common, and the problem didn't exist anymore.
English

@KnightsofNeeee @RandPaul It's the second element on the periodic table. There's nothing simpler to substitute it with. This isn't a substitution problem.
At some point, it stops being knowledge and starts being hope.
English

@AndreLeger @RandPaul Yes, but knowledge also increases supplies and identifies alternatives. The point is that it isn't the zero-sum game that your comment relies on.
English

@RandPaul Resources are matter plus knowledge. True. But knowledge doesn't recreate the matter you've already spent.
We put helium in party balloons for decades. Now we need it for MRI machines. The knowledge is here. The helium isn't.

@colin_dunlap Sad what becomes of a failed sports talker. Grifters gotta grift!

Guess who has not one worry about ICE agents at airports in America?
Me.
Because I’m a legal citizen who carries my license or passport there and I don’t do dumb shit.
Follow suit. Keep it moving.
Ryan Deto@RyanDeto
NEW: ICE agents are expected at PIT airport today, per President Trump’s order. PIT officials say exact plans for how ICE agents have not been announced. Per @ChrissySuttles axios.com/local/pittsbur…
English

@colin_dunlap Wife breezed thru PIT TSA just two hours ago. What would be the point of ICE other than to cause delays?
English

@senatorshoshana I think this is what they call an 'evergreen tweet'
English

@hardin_jus56442 @ChrisMurphyCT If your past votes we affirmative, what is it you voted for? Did the policies you voted for see fruition?
I know a lot of people cast affirmative votes for Trump and now feel the have been had. He is not persuing the policies he ran on, and they voted for.
English

@ChrisMurphyCT Hey @ChrisMurphyCT ... then what is the right answer? It's easy to say someone else is failing, it's harder to come up with a better answer. I'm an independent voter and have voted both left and right. Create a vision to vote FOR, not a vision to vote AGAINST.
English

@ChrisExpTheNews Sounds a bit like Congress.
But it also sounds like the AI may be assuming that you need to have other pieces in place in order to sell the finished product, and those pieces might be in other states.
English

@BeckyCindi @TheBabylonBee Joke's on you. That is the joke.
English

@TheBabylonBee Didn't need to click the link.
Without the laugh track, nobody would even snicker at a single joke. 🙄

@LibertyUnlocked @PhilipWegmann If there is a point there, it is missed by all.
English

@PhilipWegmann Philip, opinion is not equal to claim.. English is not that hard.
English

@clashreport 'with a lot of bias, and with their own political agenda.' If this means the end of having to listen to politicians' blather, this is something I can support.
English

French President Macron:
I do believe in free speech. But what does it mean? Free speech means I will listen to you, you will listen to me, and we are in an equal relationship.
A lot of people defending free speech do it based on algorithms without any transparency, with a lot of bias, and with their own political agenda. It's not free speech.
And when people clearly help hate speech, racist speech to be spread all over the place, it's not about free speech. It's a jungle.
I really believe in free speech based on respect and transparency.

@SeattleIndepen1 @rob67991455 @BretWeinstein And to any other invalidation of a key point of your theory you will say 'It really doesn't matter....'
@BretWeinstein I don't know what happened to you. A master's thesis could be done on your journey from persecuted academic to fringe internet clout chaser.
English

It really doesn’t matter. What does matter is the official story is so utterly absurd as to be laughable. There is no getting around this. The idea that some Arabs with minimal training brought our systems to complete paralysis, perfectly imploded 3 buildings, hit what should have been one of the most heavily defended buildings in the world, that a passport of one of the hijackers gentled floated to the ground to be found by an FBI agent, that days later we had anthrax mailed to key media outlets and political figures (warning them to not investigate) that no one from the Air Force or intelligence services was fired or even mildly reprimanded, and that deadliest attack on US soil was wrapped up with such a lousy “investigation”, and the entire event was the perfect justification for global strategic military moves our rulers had long wanted….
If you can sit back and take all of that at face value, I really don’t know what to say to you.
English

Hypothesis: World Trade Center 7 was supposed to be hit by UA flight 93 and its collapse was intended to destroy evidence of many elite crimes, including 9/11 itself. The destruction of flight 93 instead rendered the collapse of WTC7 the smoking gun of 9/11.
Hashgraphian@Hashgraphian
@BretWeinstein Maybe the documents were in tower 7 and got destroyed.

@RobertHallifax @MarcACaputo @AnandWrites Do you think their discussions at Davos work towards minimizing downsides? You don't realize that when they say 'You'll have nothing and like it' that it is something that is going to be imposed on us?
English

@MarcACaputo @AnandWrites Yea. Well. Their maybe so good ideas generated from the Jet Set talking to each other. But, I much prefer their ideas work through the market rather than being imposed on us: sorts the wheat from the chaff with minimal downside.
English

I want to show every word of this @AnandWrites piece on the Epstein Class because it’s so good
But here’s the link

English

@RobertHallifax @MarcACaputo @AnandWrites Shit, just look at social media in general. Very marketable and profitable. Downsides are far from minimal.
English

@RobertHallifax @MarcACaputo @AnandWrites The market decides what is marketable and profitable, not what is right or good. And you are nieve to think that the products of capitalism are not imposed on us. You don't need to be a socialist, which I am not, to understand that.
English

@MattWelch I don't understand. They all seem to like the perogi just fine.
English

@7svnvii No one made her do it. And she knew the risks you imply no one but yourself understood. Are you suggesting she should have been prevented from competing?
English

@michaelmalice Michael has a strange phobia. Especially strange considering he lives in Austin.

English
