Look, I support you on the use of cash—I want this as well. However, as you know, money launderers and cartels all over the world constantly use cash, and these involve enormous sums. Because of this, inflation increases and crime-based easy money becomes widespread. As the world is going digital, how can we even protect cash?

@kneekoo @tepkilerimiz @HumansNoContext not to mention they can still get robbed of their cards and things if they don't have cash. I only carry a small amount of cash on me at any time, a quick just in case, pocket fund.

@tepkilerimiz @HumansNoContext People get robbed for many things, not just money. We can't stay indoors just to avoid robbery or losing stuff. People using cash don't largely evade taxes, and e-payments don't make tax evasion impossible. You're not really paying attention to either end of this issue.

Did two shows on WhatNot this weekend, made about $340 in sales. Pretty good. More shows this week, Thursday night and another this weekend when new product arrives!

I took part in this event, and it was definitely… interesting. I didn’t go into it thinking I’d win, or even expecting to make it into the video - as a small content creator, I saw it as a good opportunity to gain experience and see how a large scale filming operation works (in Minecraft). But my main reason for taking part was to make my 10 year old nephew proud of me for being in a Mr Beast video 😛 But there were quite a few problems… Firstly, the whole event was poorly organised and riddled with tech issues - on the first day almost everyone died of starvation because crops weren’t growing and mobs weren’t spawning. I saw my whole life flash before my eyes and I literally ragequit when my health dropped to half a heart (honestly, my street credibility would never recover if I died on day one). There was also a LOT of cheating going on - the girls side got infiltrated by Russian hackers, and boys were bribing girls to kill members of their own team in exchange for DoorDash. I’d like to think my life is worth more than a Happy Meal, but I’d probably sell my soul for a McFlurry, so I kinda get it 🤷🏻‍♀️ We were assured that anyone who broke the rules would be banned, but staff kept randomly reviving problematic people, and of course those players ended up getting the most screen time. I guess Mr Beast’s team were rooting for certain people since they had ‘good lore’, so there was definitely favouritism going on and the storyline got quite manipulated in the end. I guess I’m just disappointed because the final cut wasn’t a good depiction of what actually happened during the event. So many cute/funny moments could have been included for depth and layers, but it only focused on one plot based around a handful of players. For an hour long video, it felt contrived and predictable. I imagine a lot of people feel like it was a waste of time, but I definitely learnt a lot from the experience so I’m glad I took part. Unfortunately I didn’t make it into the final cut (so no cool auntie points for me), but I did last until the final day so I’m pretty happy with that! I was recording footage during the whole event, so I’m hoping to release my own video at some point if anyone’s interested in seeing a different perspective 😊
