MIT Civil Discourse Project
@MITCDP
Civil Discourse and Beyond—a two-year project at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology

The lack of viewpoint diversity on panels of viewpoint diversity should be of concern to everyone interested in viewpoint diversity. More views on science and space travel please! @dsallentess suggested that debating interesting science was the ideal but we're not there yet on campuses. Why not, I ask sincerely. Perhaps instead of staging debates on the same polarizing topics, on gender, gender fluidity, race, etc., debates should be staged about whether the US should build more dams, or raise taxes on electricity for heavy AI users, or whether we should invest in data centers in space would be more interesting. Do it now! And ignore the tired outrage put forward by @BrandonWarmke.

Do universities need radical reform? October 14, with @dsallentess and @BrandonWarmke.
