The Apothecary Diaries: set in ancient China, apothecary girl ends up in the royal palace solving medical mysteries and crimes. Genuinely my favorite female protagonist from all the anime I’ve consumed. Oddtaxi: Crime Mystery that despite featuring anthropomorphic animals is extremely grounded in its telling of the stories of its characters. One of these stories where a lot of seemingly disconnected plotlines slowly start to overlap. Very interesting to watch everything unravel. Ya Boy Kongming: The brilliant ancient chinese strategist Kongming is reborn in modern Tokyo and ends up vowing to support an aspiring amateur musician in her journey to achieve stardom by using military strategy. It’s a ridiculous premise but it really does work! HAIKYU!!: I had no interest in volleyball, and then I watched Haikyu and now I think volleyball might be the coolest thing in the entire world. Every match in the show has you on the edge of your seat. Spice and Wolf: Merchant man meets Wolf Goddess and then they travel the world and survive using the power of ECONOMICS! Very nice setting and atmosphere. Frieren: Currently the highest rated anime of all time, season 2 is currently airing. An elf mage goes on another journey years after defeating the Demon King, retracing her steps and remembering the memories of her friends from the hero’s party, realizing the things she appreciates about them but knowing it’s too late. Highly recommend all of these! 😁😁😁

This request might not make any sense, but what anime do you recommend to someone who hates anime? That someone is me, I can't stand most anime tropes and how they pander to fan-service crazed high schoolers. Give me stuff that feels very much like its own thing.

It's a completely valid question. Many people who didn't know him very well didn't know how separate his online and offline life really was. He was an incredibly private person and didn't let many people close to his real world. I had no way of contacting anyone other than Keiga directly. And his family doesn't have access to his socials so the only way I could get to his brother was through a separate gaming account which I messaged him in game. It just took the right timing. But this whole thing was closure for all the people like me who were wondering about him and if he pulled through or not. I'm glad I could give everyone closure on this.

Hey everyone…I have some heavy news. I have an official word @KeigaKing has passed away. I received permission from his family to share this publicly so his close friends and community can know. As many of you know, Keiga was living with an extremely rare illness called Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD), which severely weakened his immune system—so much that even a cold could send him to the hospital. He was receiving treatment at the National Institutes of Health in Washington, DC, including gene therapy that had the potential to save his life. I don’t know the exact circumstances, but his brother confirmed to me that Keiga passed away in Spring 2025. Many of you may also know him as Pemobu, before he rebranded. He was a wonderful person, a dear friend, and someone I genuinely loved. He was part of my vtuber org, VGenerates, and we had been friends for many years. In real life, he was a personal trainer who wanted to help people get fit, stay healthy, and live happy lives. I was one of the few lucky enough to know the real Keiga. Eventually… he stopped responding. I tried calling his personal number, texting, Discord...everything. I feared what might have happened, but I chose to stay hopeful. I will miss him so much. We always promised each other that when he got better, we would go to Disney World and hold hands. He was someone I held so much love for, and has left a mark on my heart. I’ll link Keiga’s original post about his illness below. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions, or if you just want to talk. I’m so sorry to anyone who is blindsided by this news. I’m deeply saddened that he didn’t make it through, but the research he contributed to, may help thousands of others in the future. Rest in peace, my penguin. ♥️🐧
