From a mainstream Russian tabloid, surprising criticism of the authorities: “Either they see us as kids too small & brainless to be trusted or to have anything explained to us [or] the system's now so unbalanced one part no longer knows what the other is doing.” #ReadingRussia

Ukraine, meanwhile, tries to limit Russia’s windfall from rising oil prices. Ukrainian drones struck overnight the oil export terminal port of Primorsk on the Baltic Sea, near St. Petersburg.

Sen. Thom Tillis tells “This Week” co-host Jon Karl that he doesn’t find Stephen Miller “particularly loyal.” “I don't think anybody should think that Stephen Miller’s going to be a curator at the Trump Presidential Library when he's done here. He's going to go find another wave to surf.” abcnews.link/0PTynlv

13,000 third country deportees to Mexico so far, the majority Cuban. Many were ordered deported decades or even generations earlier, but no admin previously would have considered something as inhumane as this as a means of carrying out a removal.

Russian war bloggers are whining about Ukraine’s near-daily mass drone attacks. That “3-day SMO” is really staying on track.

NEW: The Trump administraiton has lost more than 7,000 immigration detention cases in recent months. Increasingly, DOJ is telling judges they have no argument to present or couldn't get facts from ICE to present in court. A look at this emerging trend. politico.com/news/2026/03/2…

Worth noting that Lukashenko has allowed Russian troops to invade Ukraine from Belarus, has allowed Putin to transform Belarus into an extension of Russia's military base, and to launch missile strikes from Belarusian territory. He has granted Russia permission deploy nuclear-capable missiles, including the Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missile, to Belarus.

Belarus' Alexander Lukashenko says Trump has invited him to Mar-a-Lago to discuss a "big deal" with the US. This would presumably bring his country in from the cold after years of sanctions over his repressions and help for Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Good summary of how the new US Section 301 investigation of "structural excess capacity" is based on shoddy economics and clearly just rigged to get to new tariffs: thehill.com/opinion/financ…

DHS has been conducting new interviews with refugees who were already vetted & admitted into the US. According to a former USCIS source with knowledge, Stephen Miller handpicked lawyers to review the re-interviews because "too many people were being reaffirmed as refugees."

Under the rules of the DACA program, you're supposed to apply five months before expiration. Mr. Velasco did exactly that. His status expired March 10, and he applied to renew in November. Five months later, his renewal application sits untouched in a government filing cabinet.

I still see many Western military experts misunderstanding how Ukrainians’ employment of drones makes them so lethal in combat. Ukrainians don’t just have a drone guy in every platoon, and they don’t treat drones as discrete weapons. They have dedicated drone battalions that field a range of drones of varying functions, creating low altitude, ‘air littoral’ stacks analogous to the manned aircraft stacks the USAF flew in Afghanistan & Iraq. These drone warfare units comprise an architecture of systems that complement each other. And it’s the interplay between these systems that delivers effects to ground forces that were previously out of reach without air superiority.
