@mistereatgalway UK being passed as a land bridge has also led to millions less in revenue from haulage companies! So many more trucks on the Dublin/Rosslare - Cherbourg route these days. Too many hold-ups and delays with customs & paperwork at UK borders.

@KilclooneyJohn What a lot of people don't see is the suppliers who get caught out over and over, hundreds of thousands of € / £ in bad debts!

Shocking that so far this year 200 restaurants; cafes; etc have closed down in the Republic of Ireland mainly due to the high VAT rate in the RoI.

Any boat if not monitored can cause massive destruction, the SFPA monitor our fleet but simply do not have the resources to monitor every foreign registered boat in our waters.
