@corkcitycouncil - Comhairle Cathrach Chorcaí have formally rejected a proposal to evaluate #OpenLitterMap data and include #LitterWeek as part of their #EUPresidency campaigns and #SpringCleanWeek. I was told explicitly: we don’t think The open litter Mapping is of benefit to Cork City Council. There are currently several methods to report waste/litter through our customer relations centre or through the EPA. ---- There are in fact 0 ways to submit data on specific litter objects, conditions, or brands to Cork City Council or the EPA. Ireland's National Litter Monitoring Scam simply stops at "litter / not litter". It does not enable the collection of any more advanced data, purposefully overlooking the accountability link between unsustainable waste practices and businesses.
