@EliasDaler You are looking at it wrong! Elevating the scene isnt solely about Tools or giving everything away for free. Making cool things and spreading awareness is equally important, something you have done more effectively than anyone else!

@tysytube that turned out absolutely amazing! Do keep in mind that the transparant lacquer adds a bit of tolerance, and might require some light sanding to get buttons to work smoothly ^_^ battery bay might also need so delicate refining (that was hardest to make).

@M0RD3N the renderer itself is a bit on the slower side though, I wrote it recursively without making proper use of speedup tricks (like scratchpad usage), but gets the job done for the demo itself 🤷‍♂️

@M0RD3N for the rest of the pipeline, it exports to .obj, and I wrote a custom converter in python which creates a file format I made myself that embeds all the required data. I load that on the PSX side in memory, and parse it to primitives

@M0RD3N Crocotile is pretty much a tool that allows you to easily create 2D tiles and stitch them together in a 3D scene, it’s a very easy entry level editor too. Took me only about 2 days to fully get to grasps with!

@PointerFunction Even though my Christmas demo isn’t exciting enough for a full “making of”, I wanted to share a video of an early attempt at something season‑appropriate. Tree placement, lights and accumulating snow came next, then the scroller and a twister. The credits text was dead last.

@MarianoVairoli @RetroJeff83 There is a microSD version of mine available as well - just swaps the angled part for another 😅 But does require taking it apart, unlike this one it seems
