@PeacefulOutcome @RetroJeff83 white also looks the cleanest after use, due to the compound residue 😂 2 day printing sounds about right indeed, assembly is relatively straight forward luckily, and takes about an hour I would say roughly.

@RetroJeff83 @PointerFunction Thanks! I went thinner than .2 layer height (almost always do these days). I haven't figured out the colors yet either haha. I got so much white, so I just went with that.

Got all the big bits printed up today for @PointerFunction's RGR ezBuff (optical disc resurfacer / polisher). Waiting for parts to come in, but excited to get this build underway. So far, its coming along great. Very good design. You can tell a lot of thought went into it.

Finally working on a new batch XBox2Wii Component Pro. @CastleManiaRyan and @retroupgrades will receive new units within the next weeks. Also time to show our assembly tester that allows to test without a console. Notice the digital audio blinking after the second btn press 👀?

@SelimSerefkara @RGBeter32X this actually has uses in homebrew though, not only player facing (higher res modes, special ‘fullscreen’ FX), but in debugging too while developing games. Will need to be made specifically for it, but software devs arent necessarily hardware devs, so this symbiosis is important

Found out it's possible to upgrade the VRAM on most PS1s. Stack two SGRAMs except for pin 28, solder a 22Ω resistor onto pin 28 and wire that to pin 121 of the GPU. Thanks @PointerFunction for helping me test it. Hopefully someone can make use of it.

it's finally time to reveal my birthday gift to the community! I present to you the RGR ezBuff. A disc polishing and resurfacing machine, which can restore your scratched discs back to work.

@Carnivol and lastly, keep in mind this is the first iteration, and I am not under any illusions that this is a replacement for machines that run hundreds of discs a day. In the future I hope to make one that does though!

@Carnivol this unit has been used very intensely, and all it took is a wipe to get most of it off/out. Printed in PETG, will make a difference ofc what material you use here.

I'd love to get one of these set up so I can try it side-by-side with the unit I have. I think the biggest pluss is that it's not bogged down by what's effectively DRM (which you'll find on several commercial units, where they often have a controller/timer chip you need to replace periodicly, effectively meaning the system could be rendered useless the day you're unable to get new/unused timer chips from the supplier)
