If you can’t read the road signs, you shouldn’t be driving a semi on our roads. It’s common sense. However, our roadways are flooded with these dangerous, unqualified drivers. Today we’ll take up Dalilah’s Law in the Transportation Committee to crack down on illegal CDL holders. It requires English proficiency for CDL holders, ensures states verify legal status, cracks down on fraudulent training programs, and puts unsafe drivers out of service. Unreal. This semi driver with a MN-issued CDL came barreling through Lincoln County going the wrong way on Highway 61 in my district. Thankfully @MSHPTrooperC got him off the road and no one got hurt, but this is why we're cracking down on illegal CDL's. Glad @SecDuffy is all over this as well.

I just introduced legislation to push back on cash-grab litigation that is hurting small businesses. Accessibility is important, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is meant to ensure access for all Americans. Unfortunately, a few bad actors are using the ADA to fuel cash-grab lawsuits that punish businesses in North Missouri and across the country, even when employers are trying to comply and do the right thing.
