While the media framed the Michigan synagogue terrorist as a man simply 'driven by grief' after losing his brother in a Lebanon airstrike, we now learn that his brother was actually a Hezbollah terrorist commander. Will the facts be updated by mainstream media? Or will it be ignored because it doesn’t fit the narrative?

Agreed. Matching funds is a waste of millions of taxpayer dollars. If we are serious about addressing the affordability crisis - this is an excellent place to start!
Bernadette Hogan@bern_hogan

New: @KathyHochul won't take taxpayer-funded campaign matching funds in reelection campaign. Campaign spox @SarafinaChitika says $$ “could be better used to fund programs that put more money in New Yorkers’ pockets…” —> ny1.com/nyc/all-boroug…

It’s quite meaningful to earn these endorsements from Jewish leaders at a moment when the Jewish community is under attack. I will always stand up against antisemitism and against all forms of hatred across New York.

Did I miss the memo that raising taxes on hardworking middle-class New Yorkers to maintain the current level of spending was part of the “affordability agenda”? bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Thank you to @SpeakerMenin and her leadership team for making the long trip to the Capitol and making it a priority to meet with Jewish elected officials. Antisemitism is a serious problem that demands serious solutions. I am grateful for their dedication, their willingness to listen, and their continued commitment to standing with our communities.

“If ‘Never Again’ is to mean anything in New York, it must mean that we must never again be silent.” Today, on Holocaust Remembrance Day, I spoke on the Assembly floor about the responsibility of government to stand against antisemitism and hate. We must ensure that history does not repeat itself. “When antisemitism is dismissed as ‘speech’ – including by our very own elected leaders – rather than confronted as a danger, we are failing the lessons of history.”

With the recovery of the final hostage, a heartbreaking chapter comes to a close. This war began more than two years ago when Hamas terrorists invaded a sovereign country, murdered innocent Israelis, and captured hundreds of civilian hostages. History will remember who recognized the truth and who refused to condemn the evil. Israel did what was necessary to defend its people. The world is now a little bit safer. timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry…

Before you watch anything else, watch this. This is @PeterSantenello. He came into the Hasidic Jewish community with humility, curiosity, and genuine respect. He didn't come to provoke, expose, or score points. He came to learn. Because of that, doors opened. Conversations happened. Real people were seen as real people. That's why he was welcomed and treated like one of us. Now compare that to what we are watching today in Kiryas Joel. We are seeing someone arrive with a predetermined narrative, trying to paint Hasidic Jews in the worst possible light. Not to understand a private community, but to sensationalize it. Not to learn, but to virtue signal. As if Hasidic Jews are some dangerous group, despite having no history of violence or harming others. So watch this video and learn the difference. Learn the difference between genuine curiosity and bad intentions. Between storytelling and grifting. Between someone who wants to understand, and someone who wants clicks.

Today we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose vision and call for justice continue to guide us. As hate and division persist in our world, Dr. King reminds us that it is our shared responsibility to carry his dream forward by standing firmly against racism and bigotry.

I’m incredibly grateful to Abe, Chaskel, and the entire Camp HASC family for this honor. Being recognized by an organization that makes such a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families is truly humbling. For more than 40 years, Camp HASC has provided children and adults with special needs a joyful, inclusive camp experience while meeting their medical, therapeutic, and personal needs. It’s more than a camp—it’s a community where every camper is valued, confidence is built, and compassion leads the way.

For greater context, there were just nine fewer recorded anti-Jewish hate crimes than last year’s record high. In 2025, there were 500% more hate crimes committed against Jews than against any other group. Jewish New Yorkers remain under attack in New York City.

NYPD commissioner Tisch: Antisemitic incidents in NYC declined in 2025, down 3% from 2024, but it still made up the majority — 57% — of all hate crimes reported. “These numbers remain far too high, and antisemitism continues to be the most persistent hate threat that we face.”
