Walt Disney World CONFIRMS bus AND boat transportation is returning to a verification system at Disney Springs on a permanent basis - Date now known 🚌 🚤 As reported yesterday, things were heading in this direction and it is now confirmed. Upon chatting with numerous Cast Members online, this exact response was given verbatim each time. “Beginning June 28, Guests boarding Disney Resort hotel buses and the Sassagoula River Cruise from Disney Springs will be asked to show a valid Disney Resort hotel room key, dining reservation, or experience reservation for the Resort they are visiting. Disney Resort Guests may also use their MagicBand to verify their Resort hotel stay.” If staying at a WDW Resort hotel, you can use transportation to visit other resorts and not just where you’re staying. “Since you would still be staying at another Disney Resort Collection hotel, you could show them your reservation at your home Resort and still board the bus to visit another Resort. It has also been confirmed that this is not temporary. “As of right now, it is a permanent change, but our policies and procedures could change at any time.” On a few occasions now, bus transportation from Disney Springs temporarily required proof of a Walt Disney World hotel reservation, dining reservation, or activity reservation. It will also now be in place for boat transportation to Saratoga Springs and Port Orleans. During Christmas and Easter trial runs, guests needed to have their MagicBand or Key to the World Card scanned before being able to board a bus from Disney Springs to any WDW Resort hotel 🏨 Not only does this help bus and traffic flow, but it stops guests from parking at Disney Springs to avoid parking fees at the theme parks 🚙 The exact process could change or be altered at any given time.
