A shout out to @SeahawksForever and @TheHawksEyePod: Both understand the game, do a great job of engaging conversations, and most of all, are great people who do things right way. It's nice to see professionalism and humility in an era where few in sports actually have either.

I do think to your point Mike does prefer edge's that as much lead with stopping the run as their pass rush, but I also think they'd like to upgrade the edge pass rush production from what they got last year. With Hall/Lawerence, they've got a pair of power edges and depth of the same ilk, though not as talented in Ivey, Morris, and even Hubbard. What's missing is more pass rush certainty. Maybe they can kill two birds with one stone with a Jordan/Clowney signing, but my bold guess is who they bring in next will have a skillset that leads with what they do as a pass rusher first and foremost. In regards to the pass rotation snap count, the edge group has sustained their share of injuries over the past two seasons. Someone is usually beat up or out, which has driven those rotations to take more snaps the past few season. it is a guess, but if they could elongate those rotations with more evenly distributed reps, it'd probably be more ideal, especially with their best edge going on 34.

Yep, I think he's in play as a possibility. I think Seattle has room for edge with run defending limitations or just average in that respect, if it means their gaining some more measurable impact from that 4th edge in the rotation. He's a little on the smaller side which will always make it a bit tougher for him against the run, but he can get some of those quick wins the team is looking for from the edge.

@SeahawksNester I'd rather target a potential long term player like this. Even if it's at the deadline. Plays in rotation with Watt, Highsmith, J. Sawyer. PIT already paying big money to Highsmith & Watt. Unlikely extension? UFA in 2027. Makes only 1.5M in 2025.
