Rounded out the tour at @seattlechildren. Their Psychiatry & Behavioral Medicine Unit serves 3 - 17 year olds in psychiatric crisis. As our mental health crisis continues, the wait list for these beds is long. Working w/ @SecBecerra & partners to do better for our mental health.

Today I learned: 1. Narcan needs to be easily accessible for everyone (including kids) it saves lives 2. I (every pediatrician) needs to complete SAMHSA so I can prescribe Suboxone and learn how to use it properly 3. Our system is failing to identify/prevent/treat kids w/ SUD.
