On his way back, the immigration officer asks him about the purpose of his visit. “I live here,” he replies. The immigration officer doesn’t seem convinced and sends him for a “secondary inspection.” Well, gone are the days when the US immigration detained only brown men with black beards and Muslim-sounding names. Now accomplished white men and women from France, Germany, and Canada are also being detained by the US immigration. Not sure how to feel about it all!
