My biggest problem I’m developing with Marathon is the half baked solo experience. It ends at a certain point then demands you “fill”. That’s fine if that’s the intention but when my social battery expires, so does my desire to play. I wish solos was cohesive to the entire game.

@Exot1c_FPS Wildcard is the best mode apex has but it does make the 4k 20b easier. Imo there should be a wildcard 6k or 7k and 30b badge (although maybe that would encourage the people that team to cheat badges too much).

@HYPERMYSTx There aren't any buildings in the update map picture. I don't think they are removing every building, so probably just the map style vs removing bunker cage etc

@GenericEdBoi re: age at almost 30 I feel fresher mentally than at 23 when I started gaming and I think if I put that time in now I'd probably reach even higher heights. But then again I also kind of think getting really good at gaming was an important step for my neurological development

This is not real unless you have a disability. That’s my hot take. If you have a fully functioning body and don’t have any neurological problems, there is no reason to think you’re doomed forever. Also same with age, but maybe I’ll change my mind in a few years! lol

@Nostalgia_FPS Exactly. You can't come back to aiming if you built your entire brand on having good aim, and cheated it. Everyone would rightfully think the new content might be using hidden cheats too.

About the Miss Colourz Cheating Apology - When this news first dropped, I kept quiet because I didn't feel I had anything meaningful to add. Here today I have a lot on my mind I want to speak on. In no way is this an assessment of moral superiority or personal condemnation. I am simply making these points because a vocal minority of commenters on her apology are downplaying the severity of the situation and encouraging her to come back to FPS. #1 - "It's just aim assist - why all the fuss? Everyone is being too hard on Miss Colourz." It's true - people XIM, Cronus, and reWASD all the time. Some people even build their brand upon the fact that they use aim-assist on MnK. Why is this situation any different or worse? First, aim-assist is low FOV soft aimbot so the idea that any Mouse and Keyboard player would use this in a competitive FPS environment is unfortunate. These devices provide an extremely unfair advantage and operate via tricking your console/pc into thinking you are on controller. Some of the clips in the cheated montages from Miss Colourz are visually identical to soft aim/colorbot. So point #1 - why are people upset with Miss Colourz? Because she blatantly cheated. #2 - "Miss Colourz, we are proud of you for your accountability. Take your time and come back when you are ready." This is why I am making this post. This comment is CRAZY. Miss Colourz built her platform on the foundation that hard work within aim trainers and the game can yield top level performance. People watched her BECAUSE she posed as a top performer in these facets. The idea that a leader in a community around self-improvement on RAW INPUT mouse and keyboard would use these cheating methods in a public post is unacceptable. She went to great lengths to hide her actions as well, going as far as editing her video to replace controller mappings with keybinds. Now, could Miss Colourz come back to streaming minecraft or lego batman? Idgaf truthfully. But to say you are going to welcome back to FPS someone who posed their 'skill' as achievable and made posts making fun of people calling her a cheater while she ACTUALLY cheated is crazy. Why would you open yourself to being deceived again? Stay out of the aim community Miss Colourz. #3 - "How could her friends just leave her when she is clearly struggling?" This is the worst comment of them all and I could not have fathomed that anyone would be so naive as to say this. Miss Colourz lied, deceived, and betrayed her two best friends. She risked their brand and their liveliness to extort likes and views from people who thought she was legitimate. I am so proud of both Viscose and Penguefy for how they handled the situation because they are the ones who brought forth the scandal IMMEDIATELY. If they had not confronted Miss Colourz, she would still be tricking you into liking her content on Twitter and puffing her ego on the podcast. Despite the turmoil they knew would ensue, Viscose and Penguefy took on all the burden to respect their audience and ensure fair play. Miss Colourz got exactly what she deserved from them and to say anything else is disrespectful of people who acted out of integrity. So, big rant here. No one is perfect but these actions cannot slide. I can't stand to see people being manipulated by a lier and a cheater. RESPECT YOURSELF.

@mokeysniper Something I find fascinating is on some servers people only drop cage/containment/relic on KC, but on others you get more variation. For example I've seen capacitor, repulsor, caustic treatment, runoff and spotted lake all as common hot drops.

Ok so is the conclusion now that Wildcard can only be one of the two extremes ? A: Massively increased Spawn distance so you land 6km of the coast of Bermuda. B: Cage Slop.

@Stretchedwiener @Alicoh1 We will probably get to other systems eventually. Once we start mining asteroids etc and build O'Neill cylinder type habits some mad group will build a huge ship to make the one way trip to another system. Won't be anytime soon though, and your point still stands.

@Alicoh1 We'll never achieve effective fractional speed of light for vehicles. We'll never get to another system. We'll never be "visited". We are here and we only have ourselves and we're treating this place like a dorm room and each other like the enemy.

the speed of light is a hard limit and any sci-fi future that involves FTL travel or even communication is simply off the table for our species.

@Skeptation There's definitely a way but I'm on 2pc setup with goxlr and use YouTube music, will have to look into an easy fix and give it a try at least

Aim training question, how tf am I supposed to stay focused on a normal kovaaks scenario when my mind starts drifting after 10-20 seconds? Sometimes that's flowstate but most of the time I just lose focus and mess up entirely

@ottrTweets +1 on everyone saying you can record multiple audio sources in OBS. Takes a couple minutes to set up but definitely worth it

@Skeptation only issue for me with music is im recording so cant really put it in the background or it will cause issues. i have had music in the past though with mixed results - generally a performance loss tho

We've sent out a fix for the "Bird of Prey" R-99 Skin reloading faster than intended. Thanks for your patience as we worked out that bug!

For anyone going frame by frame, there are a couple frames desynced by 1 frame thanks to me testing this at 120fps then switching to a 60fps timeline in davinci when making the video. Sorry about that, but it doesn't change the far faster reload of the mythic skin

The new R99 skin seems to let you fire faster after a reload🤔

@DCJSanityy @daleduane225 I recorded the video and tested it at 120fps then switched it to 60 for twitter which unfortunately seems to have resulted in a one frame desync for some stuff, my bad, but the skin bug is way more than a single frame difference so

Grenade arrows seem a little bit bugged...
