@tommysantos14 Why are American's so obsessed with voter fraud? As an outsider it just doesn't make any sense to me? If it was occuring in larger numbers and the system was subject to large manipulation then wouldn't it have been a problem in the 40s', 50's, 60's, etc?

OK, let's read page 12, line 22 and go through it together, piece by piece: “(A) PROCESS FOR THOSE WITHOUT DOCUMENTARY PROOF. (i) IN GENERAL.—Subject to any relevant guidance adopted by the Election Assistance Commission, each State shall establish a process under which an applicant who cannot provide documentary proof of United States citizenship under paragraph" Each state. First red flag. This is the old Republican "let the states decide" con job. How do you think corrupt MAGA leaders are going to handle requirements for proving citizenship in key states with Democrat counties? There is zero guidance in the bill about what's acceptable if a voter does not have the required documentation. It leaves it to the discretion of corrupt state politicians. "(1) may, if the applicant signs an attestation under penalty of perjury that the applicant is a citizen of the United States and eligible to vote in elections for Federal office, submit such other evidence to the appropriate State or local official demonstrating that the applicant is a citizen of the United States and such official shall make a determination as to whether the applicant has sufficiently established United States citizenship for purposes of registering to vote in elections for Federal office in the State." All this says is "if you don't have the documents we require, just give the teller whatever you got, and they'll make a call." In other words, this bill doesn't protect your right to vote if you don't have the required documentation to prove your citizenship. “(ii) AFFIDAVIT REQUIREMENT.—If a State or local official makes a determination under clause (i) that an applicant has sufficiently established United States citizenship for purposes of registering to vote in elections for Federal office in the State, such determination shall be accompanied by an affidavit developed under clause (iii) signed by the official swearing or affirming the applicant sufficiently established United States citizenship for purposes of registering to vote. This is doublespeak, and It's bullshit. It gives voters hope, then gives state officials the right to deny applicants for whatever reason they choose. This section quite literally gives corrupt state officials LEGAL COVER to CHOOSE which voters they allow to vote! Nice try, Mike.

Jessica, read the bill It shows that you’re wrong It’s right there in the House-passed version of the SAVE America Act (now being debated in the Senate), in the text starting on page 12 at line 22

@GamersNexus Its absolutely not that simple lmao! On top of that, this is only a first pass at the technology. The whole discourse around this reminds of GTX to RTX transition and early DLSS and Path Tracing implementation.

The problem, and I know this is hard to follow, is that it... looks like shit If you smeared dog shit on a camera lens, lit someone's face up with about $8,000 of studio-grade 5500K lighting, and then added some lipstick, you get DLSS5. It looks like shit. It's that simple.
Jay Dook@JayDook

If DLSS 5 is ‘AI slop,’ but current in-market DLSS, FSR, frame gen, PSSR, etc. are fine, then your problem clearly isn’t AI. So what is it? Defend your position without virtue signaling. Replies are open.

@NikTek People are hilariously overreacting to what has been shown so far. Just like when DLSS was first revealed, I think we need to wait and see how this technology evolves and is iterated on.

I can't believe that Nvidia looked at this "AI on top of games filter" and said to themselves this is the future of gaming. Like it or not, this is where Nvidia is heading and they're calling it neural rendering with DLSS 5. The examples they've showed reminded me a lot of those AI generated filter videos on top of GTA V, except that now it is supposed to run in real-time. Honestly, I don't like this current look at all

🇺🇸 News: $100 billion defense supplemental probably going to be proposed via reconciliation. Budget request not expected this week. The hill is of course still waiting on the FY2027 base budget request.
Jake Sherman@JakeSherman

☀️AM: CONGRESS RETURNS TO A PERFECT STORM punchbowl.news/archive/31626-… With war raging in the Middle East, the Department of Homeland Security still shut down and a storm bearing down on the East Coast — again — Congress is returning to session today amid an array of problems, priorities and deadlines. The House has postponed its first votes until Tuesday afternoon due to the storm. Oil prices are near $100 per barrel, the Strait of Hormuz is closed and at least 13 U.S. service members have died in President Donald Trump’s war against Iran. More U.S. troops and ships are heading to the embattled region. Israel is threatening to occupy parts of Lebanon — again — while Trump is warning NATO countries of a “very bad” future if they don’t send warships to help reopen the vital Persian Gulf passage (Australia has already refused). Trump and senior administration officials are continuing their push against the mainstream media over negative coverage of the war, even threatening broadcast licenses. This tells you how the White House thinks the political side of the conflict is going, even as U.S. and Israeli bombs and missiles obliterate target after target inside Iran. On Capitol Hill, consider what lawmakers need to tackle in the coming weeks: — The White House, Pentagon and congressional leaders have already begun talks about a supplemental funding bill for the Iran war. We don’t expect any request to reach Capitol Hill this week, but the two sides — Hill Republicans and the White House — are trying to figure out how to pass it. We’ve had several sources suggest the package may carry a price tag of $100 billion or more. Lawmakers see this as potentially the last must-pass bill of the year and may try to attach their own costly proposals. Reconciliation is probably the best option for GOP leaders because there’s no chance that Democrats would allow anything to pass without a vote on ending the conflict or reining in Trump’s freedom to operate. But any new spending would have to be offset with cuts elsewhere. This package will become a huge political flashpoint over the next few weeks. — DHS has been shut down for 30 days, a disaster for its tens of thousands of unpaid employees and the country. Security lines are getting worse at airports nationally, although Trump on Saturday implored TSA agents to “GO TO WORK!” Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) has a confirmation hearing on Wednesday to be the next DHS secretary. — Section 702 of FISA expires on April 20, but Congress is only going to be in session for a fraction of the time between now and then. The debate roiling the House and Senate is whether to pass a clean extension of the surveillance law or try to enact reforms. The White House wants a clean extension. House Republicans listen to whatever Trump wants, although this is a unique cross-partisan issue. — Speaker Mike Johnson is going to have a tremendously difficult time conducting any business over the next few weeks — again. Several hardline Republicans say they won’t let Johnson pass anything unless there’s progress on the SAVE America Act. They’re taking the same line on Senate-passed bills. SAVE Act marathon. As soon as Tuesday, the Senate will kick off an unusual and messy floor process on the SAVE America Act that’s likely to last several days. It’s virtually certain to fail.

@CENTCOM Why are they showing footage of them bombing fixed artillery positions and other inconsequential equipment? Iran is still able to launch ballistic missiles and drones, where is the footage of those resources being destroyed? Why even release footage of such low value targets?

So many people defending MKBHD lol You people understand that he doesn't even know you guys exist? In all seriousness, 10min for a monitor review is nothing, but: This is not a monitor review. At all. He reads a spec sheet and that's literally it. Everything else is just an opinion of him about this monitor. The fact alone that he just claims that the Studio Display just uses an 11 year old panel says it all. No measurements about color accuracy, latency nothing. He just reads 27", 5K, 60Hz. And that means it's identical to the old iMac one. For an actual review of such a display it would be super important to see how Apples claims hold up, does it reach 2000 nits brightness, what is the sustained full screen brightness, contrast, how well calibrated is the panel and all of Apples reference modes. THOSE are important facts worth knowing if you're in the market for this display that you want to use for your work. Some dude talking about how nice 120Hz is, that the bezels are thicker or how generous Apple is for including the stand are hilariously irrelevant. At 1:45 he says "there is not much to say about the panel itself" which is nothing but is ridiculous. It is literally THE most important part of a monitor review. He LITERALLY just reads of a spec sheet. That is a hands-on at best. Not a review.

To be clear, this is not a new idea. Feinberg was working on munitions supplemental as early as July 2025. A $28 billion munitions supplemental was actually sent to Congress at the end of last year. The framework agreements that the Department started signing with industry before Epic Fury started have created an immediate need for additional funding. The FY2026 base budget and reconciliation funds alone don't adequately resource these new agreements. So even without Epic Fury, they would be sending Congress an updated request.
Colby Badhwar@ColbyBadhwar

❗ Reuters reports that Deputy Secretary of Defense Feinberg is working on a $50 billion munitions supplemental. Could be released as soon as Friday, coinciding with a White House meeting with top defense executives. reuters.com/business/aeros…

The Air Force must utilize the expected additional FY'27 funds to restore the 72-fighter annual procurement roadmap established by General Kelly (ACC) several years ago. To effectively rebuild the geriatric tactical fleet, the service must further invest in industrial capacity to acquire at a sustained scale of 100+ fighter aircraft per year by FY'29 and hold that until the F-47 enters rate production.
