🇪🇺 La Commission européenne pourrait ouvrir une enquête dès le mois prochain afin d'étudier l'aide que la France souhaite accorder à EDF pour financer ses réacteurs EPR2. Pour que l’État accorde un prêt qui couvrirait entre 50 et 60% des coûts, il doit obtenir l'autorisation de l'UE. Or, la construction de six nouveaux réacteurs par EDF renforcerait la position d'EDF sur le marché d'électricité en France, étant donné qu'EDF produit déjà 75% de l'électricité du pays. Selon la Commission, un tel projet pourrait fausser la concurrence et garantir à EDF une situation de quasi-monopole. En tant qu'autorité de la concurrence, la Commission pourrait donc s'opposer à ce projet qui permettrait à la France de produire 10 GW supplémentaires. Le premier réacteur doit être livré à partir de 2038, mais une telle enquête pourrait retarder le calendrier.

Yes, but this is unlikely because: - The global economy is taking a massive hit (especially Europe and Asia) - The Gulf is pissed - American allies in Asia and Europe are also upset - Voters aren’t happy - And munition stockpiles are running low
