Stop hating on Gyokores, he is closing in on similar numbers to Henry in his first season, and he isn't anywhere near as talented. Brave, as much as i agree on the ball. Odegaard can not replicate zubimendi OOP. He covers a lot of ground, good at screening passing lanes and is positionally astute. He also follows deep runners and has some presence for duel winning and arial ability. Odegaard will not be able to do this at an effective level.

Odegaard comes into the lineup and Arsenal’s buildup and ball progression issues got solved. But the reception BTL issues without Eze remains a major concern — “You won but at what cost.” The solution is, Arsenal have to drop Zubimendi for Eze, the former is neither good enough to handle the buildup nor excellent at receiving BTL, he’s currently playing a ghost role in that midfield. Way forward is Eze - Rice - Odegaard midfield trio.
