@leftcoastbsbl College baseball in February and March is a great way to get some baseball before MLB gets going in April and May. And with most teams televising/streaming all games, the college friday night #1 starter battles and "wrecked bullpen" 15-12 Sunday games are must-see TV.

I feel like there’s been a noticeable shift this year in coverage for the NcAA baseball tournament. I’ve seen more non baseball sports accounts engaging and commenting. Great to see. If there’s a MLB strike next year, can only see it getting more popular.

I blame FIFA for this. The US is a mass affluent country where wealthy people can afford pricey tickets but are generally sensitive to ripoffs. FIFA is pricing this for the type of country with a small hereditary elite class who is comfortable with being treated as human ATMs.

@mattpressberg Or maybe Americans find the game boring? I wouldn't expect a ton of interest from the average European if MLB wanted to host the playoffs overseas. Ticket prices mean nothing if the audience doesn't care for the product.

You know what other Texas Rangers GM’s have struggled or just plain sucked? Joe Burke, Dan O'Brien, Eddie Robinson, Joe Klein, Tom Grieve, Doug Melvin, John Hart and yes, Jon Daniels. In fact, I figure a lot of you were calling for his head starting in 2012.

Under normal circumstances this seems plausible. These aren’t normal circumstances. Supporting an MLS or USL side doesn’t matter because neither league puts owners under serious pressure to use that support to improve their side. They can decide to simply pocket said support - with few repercussions. #ProRelForUSA
