Has Wizards ever done a poll about how players feel about Sagas?
I have never been excited about a Saga card. Magic is most exciting when you can control the timing of your spells and effects.
Having a bunch of different effects popping off at uncontrolled times feels bad.

Just going off the names of these cards, I feel like they could've been battles instead of sagas. New battles might've helped (me personally) feel more excited about Marvel UB.

@affinity4anime Universes Beyond is not going to “kill magic” in fact its probably the number one thing that keeps it alive, I started playing magic because of it and I assume thats how many others also do. I too dislike the UB stuff but only when its lazy, and even then it wont kill magic.

A big reason Spiderman, TMNT and Marvel UB feel so boring (to me) is they introduce no exciting game mechanics.
Lord of the Rings had "ring tempts you", Final Fantasy had summon creatures and Avatar had bending.

Everyone is clowning on casual’s takes about Molecule Man, and missing the point. The card isn’t broken or ban worthy, is it IS going to make Bracket 2-3 games miserable if the table isn’t prepared for it. I think that’s what people are trying to articulate.

@xtracombatphase Yes the art would “look jarring” considering theyre two different types if art styles and media types, one being superheroes and the other being fantasy. Genuinely the only thing I hate about UB is that its mostly lazy reskins rather than new ideas. Like the Thor card.

I’m not a content creator so you can believe me when I tell you these aren’t good sets. They cheapen the identity of the brand and the art looks jarring when compared to 30 literal years of the best fantasy art in the world.
