In school, a boy once pointed at our teacher and said,
“He’s been wearing the same shirt for 4 days… I could never do that.”
We all agreed.
That evening, I came home to a closet full of beautiful clothes and felt lucky.
Until the next morning, when I noticed my father had been wearing the same grey shirt to work for days.
And suddenly, the teacher didn’t look careless anymore.
Just someone quietly choosing his responsibilities over himself.

👻 Schlosshotel Waldlust: Germany 👻
In Germany’s Black Forest, stands Schlosshotel Waldlust, a once luxurious hotel that is now one of the country’s most infamous abandoned and haunted locations.
Originally opened in 1902, the hotel was designed as an elite retreat. Kings, aristocrats, and celebrities often stayed, attending lavish events. For over 40 years, it was the symbol of wealth, status, and escape.
That changed in 1949.
Based on many stories, the hotel’s manager, Adele, was violently murdered inside the building. The exact details were never clearly recorded. But after her death, everything changed.
The hotel was converted into a military hospital, where many more people died.
When the hotel reopened years later, staff were the first to report that something wasn’t right.
They reported objects moving without explanation and glasses trembling on tables without a known cause. Doors would open and close on their own. Lights flickered or turned on without being touched. Elevators moved between floors with no one inside.
The stories became even creepier.
Multiple people reported seeing a woman in a white veil moving through the hallways... appearing suddenly, then vanishing. Others saw shadowy figures on staircases and movement in rooms that were known to be empty.
Staff and visitors claimed to hear a baby crying in the night, even though there were no children present in the building. Footsteps were heard in empty hallways. In some cases, people described hearing movement behind them, but nobody there when they turned around.
Sudden drops in temperature. A feeling of pressure. Feelings of being watched, especially in certain rooms, most notably the one associated with the murder.
By the 1960s, there were enough reports that the hotel developed a reputation as being cursed or haunted.
They tried to continue operating, but the hotel declined and closed permanently in 2005.
Today, the building remains abandoned.
Visitors, investigators, and photographers continue to enter the hotel, even videos showcased in posts on facebook. Reports of unexplained activity still circulate, most reporting flickering lights and voices.
What makes Waldlust really interesting and unsettling is the pattern, with the same details being reported across many decades.
A woman moving through the halls
Sounds that shouldn’t be there.
Objects moving without possible explanation.
And the feeling that something is still there watching and waiting.
