This iteration of the Wolves has clearly gone as far as it can go (pretty far, to be fair) which is why I’ve been generally apathetic this season. Nice to be in a winning era regardless, but time to usher in the next phase this summer, whatever that is.

@TwolvesBlog @Perrywinkle1267 I vote no. HATE the Beasley one. I’ve hated it forever. Stupefied Glen makes me happy inside. Malik fills me with rage. (Not as much rage as the Wolves giving up a 10-2 run out of a timeout. But plenty of rage nonetheless)

Missed the game but see we again didn’t get a chance to face Flagg. …who Finch would have had rotting in Iowa for the first 8 seasons of his career had the Wolves ever had a chance to pick him.

Why haven’t we emptied the bench?!

@PDWolves And then they’ll probably win some great ones after the break, win a playoffs series or two again, and the cycle repeats.

(Lowe had his famous/infamous "It would not surprise me at all if the Wolves win the title" right before that long losing streak. Simmons went with "I've got the Wolves 3rd most likely to win it all right before the NOLA/Rudy/Finch/Clippers meltdown mush pile.)

strange cycle to this season is that Zach Lowe and/or Bill Simmons proclaim the Timberwolves to be very real championship contenders, only for the Wolves to then immediately play like their franchise is falling apart at the seams. I don't know why this cycle exists, but it does.

The Mike Malone comments are interesting (and wrong), insofar as he’s probably Tims next hire.

@Argonbeast0034 Check what Rudy had to say last night. And the lack of development or opportunities for the roster, which has been horribly mismanaged. Whether this is justification to cut bait is a fair question. All I’m saying is I’m open to options.

@TwolvesBlog “Somehow” like he isn’t a genuinely a great coach with a great staff. Like Naz jaden and naw didn’t become the great players they are in part due to the excellent coaching. Like Gobert and Randle playing their most effective basketball of their career. Such absurd takes.

They are going to have to think pretty hard about Finch this summer. Then again he’ll probably go and win a few playoff series this year, somehow. So there that.

@TwolvesBlog It’s unbelievable to me that there are fans of our eternally snake bitten franchise who are publicly concerned we might find success in the playoffs. Yall need to appreciate the contender you have and not the imaginary squad that never takes an L.

@PJB170 @idkball5 My initial post was more….”think about it.” I’m not a member of “Finch has got to go” island. I’ve been pleased there has been little no drama surrounding the group. I’ve been very frustrated with the lack of imagination overall though.

@idkball5 @TwolvesBlog I always ask this but when the wolves beat good teams does Finch get any credit for those or is he only a factor when they lose to bad teams?

This season has been decent by all reasonable standard. But the players beyond the Ant/Jaden/Naz young core just don’t do it for me anymore. Needed a more significant shakeup this week, a new coach etc.
