@LobTies @BodycamVideos_ He was getting the suspect to out himself (confiming that was him in the security video while recording the admission on bodycam)
I agree the cop handled it well, but what he was doing was trust building to get the suspect to further incriminate himself on camera.

@BodycamVideos_ I just want to say this cop is a good cop. The way he dealt with the individual even while knowing he was lying is commendable. He was respectful with him knowing he was lying to his face. And when the criminal realized he was caught, the cop still spoke to him in a human way.

@bben0011 @BodycamVideos_ Due to bodycam and a 2022 ruling that took legal jeopardy for the officer out of the equation, they no longer need to Mirandize as early in the questioning process as they used to, even when the suspect isn't free to leave
