What's up with all these excel agent copying each other lol @EndexAI @UseCarousel @Fundamental Here I started Agent Calc, an open source spreadsheet agent using LibreOffice WASM, contributions welcome! github.com/PointerHQ/agen… It's literally an Excel front-end with a code agent generating code to manipulate the spreadsheet. Some are Excel plugins, some are using libraries like mescius spreadjs (expensive licensing btw).

DataSnipper's AI Audit Agent, launched July 29, 2025, appears to be the earliest commercial AI agent integrated into Excel as an add-in, focused on audit and finance. Endex, announced today, claims the title but follows chronologically. Microsoft Copilot offered AI assistance in Excel since 2023, though not explicitly as an "agent."

Who’s building cursor for excel? Programmers will scoff at the idea but there’s billions of hours per year spent in complex workbooks. Everyone already uses LLMs for formulas. But in the same environment would be cool.
