@Watcher830 @angertab Reputation! who cares we protect the world and we drive the entire world economy. OK then the world doesn’t have to do business with the US and watch their economies collapse in three months or less.

A B-61 variable yield nuclear bunker buster detonated at 5 KT, and 30-foot subsurface, would wipe Pickaxe Mountain off the map and have minimal fallout. Iran is either a nuclear threat, or it's not. If Iran is, POTUS maintains 1st-strike option. Enough games already.

@RealBenEhrlich @angertab Yes which was the better status quo than all out war in the Middle East. Now the conditions have been created which Iran may actually pursue one in the future. So essentially, they created a problem that they say only they can solve with a nuke or ground invasion.

Yeah, on purpose. It’s called a latent nuclear posture. In a situation when having a bomb is politically touchy, the idea is to do 99% of the work needed for a bomb, then when no one is looking or in a crisis they can quickly build one. It provides most of the benefits of having a bomb without the political costs. Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan do the same.

@Watcher830 @angertab Well they’d just get a bomb if we didn’t get involved with this. There was never a good option. I suppose the Iranian people overthrowing the government would nullify the problem but will that happen?

@Watcher830 @angertab This is simply the only bomb in our inventory capable of destroying this place. Unless there’s something classified, it’s either this or ground troops.

@Watcher830 @angertab A B61 isn't necessarily a nuclear strike, but your point stands. It would be a terrible look, and give others like Putin some wiggle room on what they can use and when they can use it.

A humiliation ritual in the distribution center known as the ''henhouse,'' where forcibly mobilized Ukrainian men are brought after conscription and before being assigned to training fields.

@justincbzz @Schizointel “Who had no such gear” is kind of my point isn’t it? Even with Zaluzhnyi, Ukraine only had a fraction of what it needed to militarily defeat Russia, but was pressured none the less into foolish PR battle (IE: Bakhmut or Zap Offensive) to keep western support flowing

Complete nonsense. He played politics with the command, he punished and reprimanded people who were trying to change things, he pushed them away from command, he favoritized his meat units who not only ate most of the mobilization effort but spiked AWOL as a result, he slowed down or stopped reforms he didn't like. He ignored orders from the president about the creation of new brigades or the allocation of mobilized (by doing little tricks like inventing "mechanized" or "artillery" battalions who had no such gear, as a result the infantry was simply attached to his assault units).

Results are visible on the battlefield okay under his tenure the front line has shifted significantly west which is the wrong direction with no significant battlefield victories in this time also hilarious. He claims he doesn't engage in politics or public disputes when that's literally all this guy has done since 2022 with the pr influence campaign under Hanna Maliar to get the previous commander-in-chief of the armed forces fired. Or literally the PR campaign sending half a dozen Ukrainian troops from his personal assault unit to become prisoners of war in a flag waving stunt just so they could say a gray zone section of Kostyantynivka was briefly under Ukrainian control.
NOELREPORTS 🇪🇺 🇺🇦@NOELreports

Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi added he does not engage in politics or public disputes, saying that his job is war. He said Ukraine's war strategy is not discussed publicly and that the results are visible on the battlefield. Syrskyi rejected claims that he opposes drones, noting that the Unmanned Systems Forces were created under his command. He added that drones are vital, but victory requires every type of weapon the military needs. #Ukraine

@SpamAcc93775191 @moklasen @Schizointel Useful is still limited; drones in the air at least have maneuverability, these ground drones are still sluggish and limited as to what they can do. Infantry is still a ways away from being replaced, unfortunately.

@KyleJGlen @DefenceGeek There’s footage of drones being shipped through these post offices. So both of you are being dishonest from what I can tell.

It should be noted that the "military logistics hubs" this guy is claiming Russia targets are civilian post offices. Once again Russia foolishly assumed they would get to bomb everyone and nobody would bomb then in return.
Spetsnaℤ 007 🇷🇺@Alex_Oloyede2

We should hit the largest supermarket in Ukraine as consequences. Very justified. We hit their military logistics hub and they hit an e-commerce warehouse, pure desperation but it shouldn't go unpunished.

@Schizointel Reddit brain take honestly. The issue seems more likely to be that due to the current manpower shortages by Ukraine, the MOD and General staff are having disagreements over where manpower should be allocated. Either the high attrition frontline, or rear line drone units.

If these statements, particularly about the destruction of Russian logistical infrastructure in southern occupied, Ukraine is true, then Syrskyi is literally actively sabotaging shaping operations that would lead to actual change in battlefield conditions in Ukraine's favor because the officers leading the logistics lockdown campaign are not part of his soviet boomer officer good boys club. These decisions are absolutely insane and the fact the president of Ukraine continues to favor this guy who is in bed with Yermak speaks volumes about the president's current priorities.

"Sztab Generalny odpowiada: „Nie udzielimy wam żadnych informacji na temat strat osobowych". Najciekawsze fragmenty konferencji prasowej M. Fedorowa i podcastu S. Sternenki. Syrskim - zorganizował konferencję prasową, na której przekazał kilka ciekawych informacji o funkcjonowaniu MON-u i relacji z Naczelnym Dowódcą ZSU i SG. Dodatkowe informacje dopowiedział dzisiaj rano podczas podcastu jeden z bliższych współpracowników Fedorowa, bloger S. Sternenko. Poniżej najciekawsze fragmenty wypowiedzi obu tych osób. O przetargu na dostawy amunicji kalibru 155 mm. Fedorow: "Drugi krok, jaki zrobiliśmy, to uruchomienie otwartych przetargów. W pierwszym rzucie kupiliśmy amunicję 155 mm dalekiego zasięgu [chodzi zapewne o pociski M109A1/A2/A3 ze zwiększonym zasięgiem]. Zaoszczędziliśmy, wyobraźcie sobie. Pięć firm w przetargu. Była jedna znana firma, w której niedawno były przeszukania [chodzi zapewne o Ukrainian Armor - dopisek mój] . Ona tam jakoś wychodziła z publicznym przekazem, że rzekomo niszczymy artylerię. My po prostu zrezygnowaliśmy z amunicji 155 mm krótkiego zasięgu [chodzi zapewne o standardowe pociski M107 - dopisek mój], a zaczęliśmy kupować 155 mm dalekiego zasięgu. Przerzucili go w rejon Zaporoża, gdzie zaczął niszczyć mosty z Krymu, prowadzić izolację rejonu działań za pomocą dronów, zaczął eliminować sprzęt. Niesamowity profesjonalista. I kiedy zaczął odnosić sukcesy, zadając te uderzenia, Syrski wysłał go na inny kierunek. Za czasów poprzednich ministrów obrony, a przynajmniej do jednego z nich przyszedłem i powiedziałem: "Przeprowadźcie audyt strat" Musimy rozumieć, ilu ludzi traci wojsko".(...) A kiedy zaczęto to robić... Koniec. No i to jest praca.
