I could be wrong, but from my perspective it seemed separate from the parent mesocyclone. Like two minutes later we came across the giant meso buried in the rain with a thicker stovepipe tornado underneath, but it was tough to discern in the 70 mph tennis balls.
Also yes we were west facing NE. Either still insane haha.

Had to really crank the contrast, but here's our view of the full condensed satellite tornado on the west side of the Lake Village, IN EF3. Appeared to be quite strong.
