@HMRCcustomers I've been calling the Self Assessment line to try and find out the progress of an issue that has been outstanding since November last year. I tried on Apr 28, May 2 and today on all these days I was told the lines were busy and I was hung up on. When will I be able to call?

Its a real shame that this might be the end of Twitter as we know it. I've met and kept in touch with some amazing people via this weird place. If it stays around, it will likely not be the same as it was.

Idk, late night food for thought which I thought might be applicable to developers outside my startup bubble because time pressure isn't only an early stage startup thing. It's just dialled up to 11 there so it's easier to observe.

Like I've read all the same books as the developers making these suggestions, I get it. Thing is, intrinsically all developers understand the effect of time pressure on our work, but when it comes to observing the results of it so many fail to see past the technical impurities2/3

As some who works in early stsge start ups, a lot of my job is being gracious enough to pretend to developers who suggest improvements to my code that I didn't already think of that myself but didn't have time to do it because I was busy getting the fucking job done!! 1/3
