Codex is my favorite coding app right now. It’s simple, but powerful enough to let me ship fast. It’s responsive, clean, and never overwhelms me with too much context. I didn’t think I’d move away from my usual setup. But over time, Codex just became the easier option. Now I use it for almost everything.

I wanted to stop working at 10 PM today. Now it’s way past that, and I’m still here trying to fix things. It’s not even about discipline anymore. It’s that weird night urge where your brain suddenly decides: “Let’s solve everything now.” I know this is not sustainable, but stopping while something is unfinished feels harder than continuing. Trying to learn how to close the laptop even when the problem is still open.
