dtao was explicitly designed to suppress sum of subnets to 1.0 (or even lower). If my napkin math is correct there is still something like ~108t/day automatic root sell. It's quite a challenge to offset miner sell pressure but then adding root auto-sell volume on-top makes it like Sisyphus rolling a stone up a hill. Chutes is doing the things you ask; dialling back free usage, adding subscription options for alternative revenue streams, we changed our pricing to be asymmetric between input/output, etc. Takes time, and the protocol makes it quite challenging.
