@ramkumarnraja @Gurudev When the mind constantly keep changing-it appears world is constantly changing. Catch hold of the changing mind you will realise there is no change at all. Mind is a Myth and what it sees is also a Myth.

@asunil2001 @Gurudev word Ashram (आश्रम) actually comes from this exact Sanskrit root, śram to make an effort While we think of an ashram as a relaxing retreat today, in Sanskrit, the prefix ā- (towards/fully) + śram (effort) means "a place where one strives" or "a place of intense spiritual effort."

@i_am_a_sadhak @Gurudev My answer to this awareness Q? First find out who has to raise the awareness. You are awareness and how can you split awareness into 2. Wave and Ocean are one only, what appears disappears, but awareness always prevails. No Question of raising awareness.

Q: Gurudev, is it possible to raise our awareness to that level where we know all things at all times? @Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji - A lawyer has so many books on his shelf that he has studied, he doesn’t have to keep everything in his head. Whenever he needs any information, he picks up that book, isn’t it? Similarly, suppose you are a mathematics professor, you don’t have to keep all the formulae in your memory all the time. When you want Trigonometry or Algebra, at that time you take it; you only focus your attention and pick that knowledge with the memory. It is the same thing with knowledge. All knowledge is available as a possibility, but it depends on our ability to pick what we can. In order to do this, you need to have the ability for intellectual analysis and intuition. Intuitive ability will help you get access to subjects which you have not intellectually acquired. For every innovation, you need both (intellect and intuition). It is not enough if you have just studied, and have intellectual abilities. For innovation, you need an intuitive insight as well. That intuitive insight comes when you empty your mind a few times every day. Q: Gurudev, I am wondering, am I enlightened or not? If not, why? And will I be? @Gurudev Sri Sri - You don’t go and ask others, ‘Do I have a headache?’ If you have a headache, it is very clear to you, you don’t need someone else to tell you; right? Enlightenment is as obvious as the pain in your head or your feet. Now, in spite of that if you get such a doubt, it is good that you ask. If you feel you have gotten enlightened, and you don’t doubt that, then in that case, you must come and ask, so this question makes sense! Don’t worry, you are on the right track. It is inside of you and it will come out. Q: Gurudev, I am in love with someone. How can I make out whether it is love or infatuation? @Gurudev Sri Sri - You fall in love and you want me to tell you whether it is true love or not! You would need to decipher this yourself. Only the person who is eating would know the taste of the food. How can someone else advise on that? Follow @i_am_a_sadhak for more such amazing wisdom by Gurudev's

Drinking beer on a public road is wrong and the police can take action for it. But who gave MNS workers the right to beat a man like this? He wasn't assaulting anyone, harassing anyone or creating a riot. If a law was broken, hand him over to the police. Strangely, this kind of "justice" is usually reserved for ordinary people. You never see MNS workers dragging wealthy and influential people out of their cars and beating them for drinking alcohol in public.

Happiness is an attitude. If you are used to being unhappy, even in the best of situations you will still grumble and be unhappy. Nothing can make you happy in the world.

Q: Gurudev, can the Guru change the karma of a person, and when does that happen? @Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji - If a Guru alone could change the karma of a person then he would have changed the karma of everybody in one stroke. No, you have to do some effort as well. Guru can definitely relieve you of your sins. When you commit a sin and you realize that you made a mistake, you cannot relieve yourself of sin, but the Guru can definitely do it for you. So in that sense, yes! At the same time, you have to do Purusharth (self-effort). You need to do some good work. And the sense of love and devotion is equally proportionate to the amount of karma that gets released. Question – Gurudev, how do we handle ego clashes people around me? @Gurudev Sri Sri - When egos are there, they do clash. There is no way out. When there is wisdom, you will rise above any small-minded attitude, bickering and judgements. You judge people all the time, and if you turn back and look at your own judgements, I tell you, 80 to 90% of the time, they will be wrong. Sometimes you type a message to send to someone, and something tells you that this is not okay and so you retract it. This shows how poor your judgements are. We create a huge cloud around what is not even close to truth, and it has happened to you so many times in the past. You hold grudges against people, you have concepts about people and you get yourself trapped into it. You must wake up from this. You know, if your time is good, your worst enemy behaves like a friend, and if your time is bad, your closest friend behaves like an enemy. So, your luck or time is totally responsible for your friends and enemies. Your karma is responsible for what you go through in life! So, you should take your mind away from judging others and bring it to yourself. Often people who complain that others have a big ego, have a big ego themselves. Often those who complain others are rude, you will see somewhere inside, they are rude. You should reflect on yourself. See, you can’t correct others but others give you a chance to correct yourself.
