Since Talarico actively reinvisions Christian teaching, he purposefully transgresses catholic teaching on God and humanity. He might have some of the decorum American politics needs, but that does not prove he has a more authentic faith than Christians who lack said decorum.

There’s a long history of progressive religious activism in the United States, just as there is a long history of conservative religious activism. @dprmsy Fair enough. Happy to grow in these areas. I was raised Seventh-Adventist, so any assurance of salvation was a big deal for me when I moved to the Reformed tradition. I admit I am allergic to some things, but not as sensitive to others.

@DeusImperator7 @dprmsy No, I'm not. I don't appreciate the suspicion either. I am not disagreeing, but I believe such statements should be qualified so as not to give the wrong impression of what is being said/meant. I think my comments above are perfectly reasonable.

@dprmsy I have seen your posts come up from time to time and realize you don't agree with Horton re: Republication and maybe other issues. I enjoy learning from your criticisms. This post caught my eye, and I thought it sounded odd plucked from the full sentence/page.
